@@jackwithahat8601 look up "wagakki band" if you want a folk metal band from Japan, as with any folk metal expect to see it clash with the traditional culture of where they are from so expect to see them dressed in kimonos for example, I recommend the songs "Senbonzakura", "Hoshizukiyo" "Ukio feavyLife" , "hagane" "tengaku" and "Ikusa".

I used to listen to touhou music like years ago, and I went on a nostalgia streak a couple of days ago. Didnt knew Unlucky Morpheus went to do their original works now. The recommends tab, for once, is doing a nice work :)

This band just inspired me to get back into playing metal. I have played guitar for 20 years. Kind of fell out of metal for a bit and while I don't regret playing various styles...holy shit. The energy and emotions involved in this band and music grabs you. I'm glad to have found them through their singers collab with Syu. I had fallen down the Japanese music youtube rabbit hole and eventually here....fan for life!!!!!!

Fuki has got some lungs on her for sure. She expertly belts it out and it's amazing! I love the April fools version where everyone changes instruments and Fumiya plays the bass. It's hilarious lol

Japanese music has such a fantastic quality to it, it's wonderful to see so many Japanese metal bands becoming more and more mainstream!

This song.. just reminded me the first time i heard a metal song. The energy the spirit oh my this is great even when i don't understand shit about the lyric. What a Masterpiece song!

This is great music, and I support any Metal music that reaches the public sphere, but I'd argue that Japan is mostly 10 years behind in terms of innovation in Metal. Most of the innovation is still happening in Europe and America. The most innovation in Metal that has come from Japan at the moment is Ichika_Mo/Among the Sleep (which I recommend checking out because the guitarist is phenomenal and a breath of fresh air to the genre). I do wish the vocal style of Unlucky Morpheus could come back to Metal though because she's fucking badass. I think Sweden, Poland/Norway, UK, and a few Metal bands from USA are breathing the most life into Metal music as far as innovation goes.

Saving what? You fucking idiot, I have 2 TB of metal on my hard drive and Japan 99% of the time just bastardises the genre. They have great indie rock bands but I can count the good bands from Japan in metal on one hand. To put that into perspecitve I could name more than that from places like Montenegro, Azerbaijan, Iceland, Mongolia, etc. They really do have to make everything a fucking spectacle and turn into a visual band. It ruins the music.

Remember when Unlucky Morpheus was a small-time touhou remix band?

1年ちょっと前に、たまたまこの動画を見たら一瞬にしてあんきもの世界観の虜になり現在もず～っとあんきもを聴いています。 虜になってからいろんなあんきもの曲を聴いてますが、自分の中でBlack Pentagramが一番好きです。

I love this so much! It's heavy but melodic at the same time. Fuki is an amazing vocalist and that drummer is a beast.

God Fuki's vibrato is so good.

Since I discovered X Japan back in 2003, every Japanese band/singer I discovered has filled me with awe. This band is no exception, I didn't expected such a powerful voice. Sugoi!
