This is clearly NOT for ANY phone running 14. Just redmi phones and other phones with an unlocked bootloader.

You can root to delete the system apps which consume lots of ram like in my poco f6 there are more then 15 apps which are useless to me never used and delete them and then unroot the phone

Custom recovery can be installed after you unlock bootloader you can check KZread and find the process or you can sideload as well but I will prefer custom recovery
