Great reaction thank you let’s hope the Real Elvis gets out there because there’s been a lot of lies said and written about him, he helped a lot of folk out even at a time when blacks and whites were segregated none of this gets mentioned but his love for black people and the heritage boils down to the fact Elvis actually lived that life he lived and grew up in poor black neighbourhoods went to all black Churches, he absorbed all those influences into his own being that’s why he stands out from the crowd it wasn’t easy for Elvis he had to work his butt off before fame hit, the man helped bridge the barrier that segregated blacks from whites he is a civi rights savour but he did it his own way and not publicise it, the man is a legend who is loved by everyone who knows his story

Tears welled in my eyes when he says im turning 40 and im scared nobody is gonna remember me! This movie smells like grammy to me, Austin Butler captures the essence and soul of elvis. Amazing trailer. I can imagine there will be more tears when they show Elvis, it would revive a lot of sad feelings. I was 5yrs old when The King died. Never saw so many people crying on the streets and i was scared. I asked my dad why? He said the King is dead. God took him. Since that day Elvis has been a major influence in my life. Trying to be humble yet cool. Also God fearing. Awesome reaction btw, Blessings to all who read. Sydney, Australia.

What looks so promising about this motion picture is that Elvis is portrayed as he really was and not a parody and not a cartoon character.Kurt Russell portrayed Elvis in a TV movie in 1979 and it really launched his career. And he said something really interesting from an actors’ point of you; “when you portray the Coca-Cola can, spaceit’s really hard as an actor because there is no room for you. Everybody knows what it supposed look like everybody knows what it already tastes like.No matter what you do it’s never good enough”In many ways Elvis is the Coca-Cola can.

He didn't always have to sneak in. According to his friend Sam Bell, Elvis's family lived in a part of Tupelo where his and one other family were about the only white families. He attended black churches but as his family moved so many times he would've attended many different ones. There was an element of sneaking though due to segregation laws and Bell talks about them going into theatres together and Elvis would have to go through the white entrance but instead of sitting in the white seating he'd sneak over to the black part. They were just kids/friends and segregation wouldn't have made sense to them. In his teem years he would sneak into blues/gospel clubs as he was under age and probably at times due to his colour. Him sneaking into that revival tent might be not be literally what happened but it references the realities of segregation and how life was and shows how Elvis soaked up all of his influences x

Tom Hanks is always wonderful. But I've been an Austin Butler fan for years now - let me tell you, he is a good actor. And his Elvis is superb; both in speaking voice (how it actually sounded rather than the Johnny Bravo impression of everyone tries) and in singing voice (yes that perfect "Elvis voice" singing here is also Austin Butler; I have no doubt he needed to practise like crazy, but still)! He's always phenomenal in everything and yeah, he's one of those actors that's everywhere. Just a lot of content. Every time I see him in something that's different to his previous project I see another glimpse of how versatile he is. Something that Butler's been in that you might have seen is Quentin Tarantino's "Once Upon A Time... In Hollywood". He played Tex Watson; the guy with the really excellent beard and hair down to just above his shoulders - very film-cowboy. (What I personally like him from is his Disney and ViaCom - including Paramount and Nickelodeon - stuff though). He might still be thought of as "Sebastian" Kydd from the Sex and the City prequel "The Carrie Diaries" over the Tex role though. Yet this role will be the one people remember after they see this film, I'm sure. Seems it could be award worthy. The other thing I'll say about this film is they did a really good job with Maggie Gyllenhaal's makeup and prosthetics. Really made her look like Gladys Presley instead of herself. It's superb. Baz Luhrmann's also the one who directed the remake of "The Great Gatsby" with Leonardo DiCaprio, the DiCaprio "Romeo & Juliet", "Australia", "Strictly Ballroom"... A lot of good content. So the man knows his stuff.

Elvis did not have to sneak into the big tent revival this was strictly for this Hollywood movie for dramatic effect. Neighborhood Tupelo Mississippi He learned to sing as an avid church goer with his mother in the black pentecostal church of Tupelo Mississippi all Mississippi and continued in Memphis Tennessee when they moved up there grew up on black gospel music gospel quartets and that's where he got his soul singing in the church

Oh yes I am going, I hope they show the relationship between the colonel Parker and Elvis the most the colonel was good for Elvis in the beginning but became the worst thing for Elvis at the end it dawned on me do you realize Elvis never tour outside of America and yet he's so over 150 million albums and is worldwide famous but never tour oversee at all and that was due to the colonel that's what I'm hoping to see thank you for your reaction

Sadly they got a lot of things wrong with this. The true fans will know. Elvis never rode the Ferris wheel with Parker for one. Maybe one day they'll tell the real story of the KING.

I still feel that Lana Del Rey should have played Priscilla. But 🤷🏽‍♂️ it is what it is Edit Also funny how Tom Hanks learned Elvis how to dance in Forest Gump. Now he plays Elvis's manager 🕺
