Younes, quick correction, the 5 year amortization only applies if we are competing in Europe but since we aren't we can do the full 8 year amortization since the premier league has no such rule

Another positive from this is that the owners etc now have a better understanding of doing business with Brighton. If it's 1 thing anout Chelsea, we always have players wanted by other clubs example real madrid and bayern munich wanting kepa. @Younes you got it wrong with the time limit for the amortisation. If we were playing any European competition then yes the five year UEFA rule applies. However, since we are not in any European competition, Chelsea are allowed to amortise Caicedo’s transfer fee as per the length of his contract term, in other words 9-10 years amortisation which works out to be approximately £12.77m per year. This is because the PL don’t have such rule so PL clubs can still amortise the transfer fees as per the length of the player’s contract.
