Eh, the issue with "loud pipes save lives" is most of that sound ends up behind you. Unless you're on a supersport spooled out to 10k they're just not likely to hear you from the front.

Yeah I think you're right about sound behind you - but from my old TDM with de-baffled Beowulf's to the DL-650, I noticed a huge number of peds stepping in front of me. It seems like it's a matter of degrees, and I think it's about striking that balance between safety and being an obnoxious knob.

Aha yeah, my favourite streamer on Twitch says it a lot as do a lot of friends of mine. We mock each other mercilessly for saying it xD
