    Lunam Gallus No genre is "bad", but almost every #1 rap song in the past 15 years has been incredibly lazy. That's a fact. Now my OPINION is that rap is, indeed bad. But that is contrary to the fact.

  • @lunamgallus8301

    @lunamgallus8301

    MisterBigBlunts I mean, if you keep looking at the charts and what the biggest hits have been, of course you're only going to find bad stuff. You need to look for the good stuff, as you need to do for pop, rock, and everything else. Also, that's not a fact.

  • @MisterBigBlunts

    @MisterBigBlunts

    8 жыл бұрын

    Lunam Gallus The main thing wrong here is the second half of your first sentence: "of course you're only going to find bad stuff." This was not the case from the 1970s going well back to the 1660s. Why is this ok now, when for the previous 300+ years of printed/recorded music, this wasn't the case? What music do we learn about in our history books? The #1 hits. Mozart was like the Lil Wayne of his day. Bach was the Drake of the 1700s, Liszt even had screaming fans that would go hysterical when he walked in the room, known as "Lisztomania" which was similar to "Beatlemania". Do you think that in 100 years anyone is going to be talking about Brotha Lynch and Immortal Technique? No, they are going to be talking about Lil Wayne and Drake. And this is why rap sucks. Because it should have stayed as an underground thing and not blown into the mainstream for producers to make puppets out of actors.

  • @lunamgallus8301

    @lunamgallus8301

    8 жыл бұрын

    MisterBigBlunts It's not okay, but it's what the people like today. Times change, and so do people's tastes. Also, those won't be the only people remembered. There are many great rappers who are still making music, releasing it, and getting the recognition that they deserve on the charts. Wu Tang released an album not a year ago, and it was great. We're going to be learning about them and every other good rapper who made it and is making music that the people like, as well as Drake and Lil Wayne

    The Gimnazija Kranj Symphony is not a school orchestra. It is a semi professional orchestra associated with and sponsored by a school, containing a mix of professional and youth musicians. Some of these are indeed very talented kids from schools. Others are professional musician graduates of music schools. I believe that the only specification for membership (besides great musicianship) is that you must still be considered a "Youth". (broadly speaking that is)!

    Around 8:55, you can almost hear the conductor thinking, "Guyyyyyyys, you're nailng it!!! You're nailing it!!! I'm so proud of youuuuuuu!" It is thrilling having a conductor give you that look as you approach the end of a performance. Yes, it is a break in focusing only on the music to focus on each other experiencing the music, but to me, isn't that the point?

    I've watched this, start to finish, twenty times at least. Everything about this performance is perfect: The orchestration. The musicianship. The enthusiasm. Even the camera work and editing. The only part I can't understand is why the audience did not leap to their feet at the conclusion.

    Audiences are funny critturs. Some are just introverted and unable to express themselves openly. I'm reminded of watching the Calgary Stampede parade, and they whooped and holered like crazy, byt the wathcers did just that, watched on in near total silence. Funny critturs, as I say.

    Because of the internets love for using classical music for memes, not only are younger generations like myself appreciating and recognizing the compositional masterpieces of classic music, but the triangle instrument is now a sign of impending chaos!

    It's not just internet memes. Classical music pieces are used everywhere, in cartoons, movies, TV shows. I grew up listening to many of these in shows like Tom and Jerry. Years later I found out where they were from.
