It is so amazing to listen this in hindsight and see how the analysis of Pranav Roy completely fell apart in 2019 loksabha election regarding the alliances. I hope as he is such a respectable journalist, he would introspect and analyze where he was wrong so that he could factor in these parameters next time and provide a more balanced report/book instead partisan report/book.

It saddens me to see that we give importance to pranoy roy and shekhar gupta... the 3rd person in this panel is slightly more bearable and more of a professional wrt election reporting. The 2 are bumptious... condescending... pro dynasty ... pro corrupt.. in short all bad things that try and dominate to pull down any positive buildup in this country... if after the "so many interviews" they cannot conclude who might or what might win an election they might as well leave it to the pollster in india who does a decent statistical and scientific analysis and study of electoral work and draw almost reliable conclusion...aka exit poll. however all that said and done... this Roy mentioned in another interview that 2019 may be like the 1977 outcome... that confused me a bit... i had to check (google) to confirm that it was the janata party (old name for the bjp) that rose to power that year... !!! so what these guys are doing is only confuse the voter or spread a preferred narrative...

I am surprised as to how quickly Prannoy Roy blamed the ruling BJP at the Centre for not building a 'bridge' in a rural/village in India. Does he not know that such small bridges are the responsibility of the State Govt's PWD and need to be budgeted for sanction.

I agree with you and now looking at hindsight in this conversation, he should retrospect that even rural voters know better, that those local issues are state government and not central government.

A mistake is there in that book about 1977 election results in state assemblies. Kerala result was different (page number 18)

It was Yeddyurappa who started free cycle in Karnataka in 2008.

He mentioned the three who did not have advantage of oratorical skills and had to rely on development alone to get re-elected. That is why Modi was not included because he delivered the development and also has good oratory.

6.8 million is missing in the voter registry. No doubt this is a major concern. As per recent data by toi 99% of adults over 18 are registered with aadhar. If so why is it not the responsibility of voter to register with voter card??. Is it not a responsibility of individual to participate a festival of democracy?? If not how can you justify yourself to be a good citizen of this society? Even election commission should come up with a easy centralized process on registering with voter card. As per not allowing to vote, we cannot blame election commission, as voter card is a prerequisite for voting or else we will have same gundagardi of 80's and 90's at booth's

ha ha ha...yes... the suggested titles by Roy don't even qualify for white papers... and they talk phd thesis... no wonder the verdict about our education system (by these very guys who take criticism of good things in this country to a new level every time) is that : our qualified people are unemployable... definitelty the 7 or 70 phds that may come out of this book (i will not touch with a barge pole) will be unusable...unemployable...
