Off the Beaten Path

Many people take the road well-travelled. However, for those who prefer the less trodden route, the one that stretches far beyond the beaten path, the experience can last you a lifetime. Just make sure you pack your hiking boots.
Be sure to check out this and other videos on your next Air Canada flight on “Find Yourself,” Newfoundland and Labrador Tourism’s very own channel on the in-flight entertainment system.

I'm glad you loved it and that it made you feel better!!! Newfoundland and Labrador is a beautiful unique place to live and we have to take the good with the bad here. We lost 4 fishermen last week 😢 and then we have the old stories of how life was like as far back when the horse and cart was the only means of transportation. And we only have a population of about 500,000 here and we are known as the friendliest people in Canada 🇨🇦 (but I can contest so some of that!!! Just kidding!! LOL

Was at a immigration event in Glasgow yesterday, and the presentation from the Newfoundland and Labrador tourism board was fantastic. Amazing video and has given me serious thought of moving within the next few years as an Engineer. Beautiful part of the world

If this is supposed to be a tourism video, maybe try to keep people's attention past two minutes (and that was making an effort to keep watching).

Rory on a Bike Newfoundland isn’t about resorts or flashy attractions, it’s about the people, and respect for the land and the water. The natural landscape in itself is awe-inspiring. If you can’t listen to people sharing their life stories of growing up on Newfoundland for 6 minutes, then you don’t need to go to Newfoundland. Show a little respect. It made me want to go back again...

Anne J. Right. Perhaps you should watch the video on my channel before explaining Newfoundland to me. About 10 years ago, Newfoundland Tourism made an innovative series of ads. Since then, the ads have become increasing repetitive and tiresome, as well as significantly less creative. I get to see them from time to time here in New York, and it is hard to believe that they are considered effective in 2018. If these newest ads represent their 2018 campaign, somebody needs to drag them into the 21st century, and also tell them to stop representing Newfoundland as a quaint backwater. This series of ads is not just way too cutesy, it’s a completely inaccurate reflection of Newfoundland to the point of being cringeworthy/embarrassing. Enjoy I’s the B’y in my video, recorded a stone’s throw from my home on the Bonavista Peninsula. If you’re from the Eastern Seaboard, and haven’t already done it, you’ll also learn a bit about the road/ferry trip between the mainland and the island.

@Chris Vaisanen It isn’t a tourism video, but thanks, it’s amusing to see someone reply to a three year old KZread comment :)
