    You're going to like the ZJ. I currently have 3 ZJs, a WJ and a WK2. The long arms are a must off road. One ZJ has a 7.5 inch lift and Clayton long arms. It's running 37s on Ford Dana 44 front and a 9" in the rear. Great job with your ZJ. Look forward to seeing future mods.

    @@VenturaIT I will be posting videos of the ZJ on KZread DFerDirt In the coming days. It drove really bad when we first bought it. All the long arm bushings were shot, the tires were almost worn out and the rear end wandered a lot. We are in the process of rebuilding everything. Once finished, it should do well on the highway.

    Looks good. A video on the install of a long arm kit would be greatly appreciated. Getting ready to upgrade a stock 94 ZJ 4.0 manual and could use any ideas. Keep up the good work

    I have a 96 Cherokee with a 4.5 RE super flex lift. Of all the lift kit i have ran over the last 30 years its the nicest riding lift. I rebuilt the axels TCase and the break system including the booster Running Yokohama 33s and steel wheels with a locker in the rear. 1250.00 for the jeep 5000.00 in parts 1350. 00 to have Inland truck install gears . Money well spent. Should get another 200k out of it

    I have 4.56 on 33's on my 97 ZJ with the 4.0 freeway speeds are 75 just over 2,000 rpms.

    Yea, the NP242s get cracks on the AWD planetary gear post’s welds, then eventually “boom”.

    keep up or get ahead of the maintenance. like hoses and stuff that wears quickly because when you take it Offroad, those parts will wear even quicker and you don't want to break down on the trail. basically slowly go through everything and replace worn parts with either quality or oem parts (besides suspension and Offroad parts) keep the engine reliable and performing well and change all fluids just in case.

    9 grand in a year is not budget brother... lol I bought a zj 4 days ago for 1500 bucks on offer up. same jeep as yours but a 96 w/ 164k. it needs some love for sure.. if these are not taken care of, they don't age well...

    I just picked up a 93 grand wagoneer/cherokee. 147xxx on it. Traded a 350 dollar car for it. I hope I did good. Its my first jeep and I'm stoked about it.

    they are pretty reliable, especially the 4l engine. gas mileage varies but it's usually around 11 to 17mpg

    jeep has the Cherokee (XJ) and the Grand Cherokee (ZJ). they are 2 different models

    they can. honestly depends on how you drive them and what engine you get and certain modifications like tires and axles and weight. going 65 I can get a solid 16 MPG

    you don't need to make millions to have a jeep that costs 9k in total. that's way better than spending 11k on a stock TJ or 45k on a new JL
