Off-Roading At Wolf Caves - Did I Forget How to Rock Crawl in my Jeep??

Its been a very long time since Cassie aka ‪@JeepGearGadgets‬ and I have went rock crawling...
In fact, the last actual Offroad trip we took was 9 months ago at Windrock Park in TN.
We made a day trip up to Mason Texas to visit Wolf Caves Offroad Park.
I drove the JKU and Cassie took our Jeep Gladiator Rubicon.
Wolf Caves has a ton of amazing offroading to offer. Everything from scenic trails, moderate rock crawling, and even some crazy things that even a built Jeep on 40s cant handle!!
Since this was our first trip in a long time, we decided to hit some fairly easy trails. Even some of the "easy" trails can be pretty challenging with some fun rock ledges.
The park is very large, and going with someone familiar with the area would be ideal.
Overall it was a great trip, and its always a great feeling when you can spend a day in the rocks putting your rig to the test!
Cassie did great in the Jeep Gladiator, and her video of the trip will be posted on her channel soon. She took the JT up some cool obstacles and we were able to really test out the offroad performance of the Rubicon.
I know a lot of you guys are waiting for the Yokohama Tire review, that will happen very soon! But they did great on this trip, both on road and offroad.
The new Barnes4wd aluminum tie rod also held up great, and i even think it took some hits during its first offroad trip haha. Remember that you can always get 10% off anything from www.barnes4wd.com using the code jkgear.
The oil catch can is also something that a lot of you have showed interest in, so i will probably make a video on how to setup a cheap DIY catch can setup for around $30. Stay tuned for that!
Oil Catch Can i will be using in that video: amzn.to/3lNbFAB
Like always, thanks for watching and stay tuned for the next episode of JK Gear and Gadgets!

You might find that the Jeep legal team is working their way around and many groups and such are opting to change their names to remove the word Jeep and ANY variation thereof (vs being told what to do and how)......something to consider for the change. ESPECIALLY if you get any kind of $$ funding $$ on these channels. Maybe JT gear and gadgets so you already have a decent audience in place funneling from here?

Y’all need to head up to Bridgeport ,TX Northwest OHV Park. It’s a Badge of Honor Trail and has lots of fun obstacles. Just watch out if you drive in the water and mud, it has hidden boulders that can wreck you really quick, and the water has some significant deep spots that can swallow you up.

Gaia GPS will solve the problem of not know where you are at. Just download the map layers of the area you will be before hand and you are good to go. The added value of using Gaia is the included map layers and features like track recording. I usually keep the National Parks MVUMs overlayed on a topo map. I add a bit of relief shading to make the map 3D.

Here's my two cents on your channel: I'm a total DIY Jeeper and between you guys and Crawl TV (when they were active) I depended on you both for building my Jeep. From brakes to the 3-link suspension to the 1-tons, to even small silly little add-ons, your step by step videos were beyond helpful. And it was enjoyable! Both you guys on your channels would work late at night, using crappy tools, having a beer, and your spouses wrenching right beside you always adding a joke or two. The experience was real. So I think you should close JK Gear and Gadgets because that really only applied to the JK, but now that you have multiple models, the name Jeep Gear and Gadgets is more encompassing for your vehicles - and it seems you have multiple projects going on with all of them. Perhaps there's a better name. I think you can both be the hosts - perhaps one episode Cassie is the lead and on others, Ben is the lead, but you're both doing the show together. And I get it, making step by step videos takes a lot of time and is exhausting - but that's what made you different. I don't think I'm the only person that thinks this. I'm not a fan of the lite brite's and the others where it's always a happy day!.. playing with their free toys - there's nothing I learn from these channels. Why watch people wheeling when I can do it myself? However, depending on the trail or the scenario, sometimes it's fun watching. There should be a balance (my opinion). I Like the idea of motorcycles and expanding into other hobbies (I'm a big off-road motorcyclist as well)...so I think your channel has a clear niche you can fill nobody else can. I'm looking forward to the JK engine swap. I'll be wrenching right with you! Thanks for listening.
