Off-Road Racer Podcast Episode 54: Craig Stewart

As we see rising demand for higher-end off-road trucks like FORD Raptors, RAM TRX’s, and now the new FOX Factory Chevy Silverado let me point out where this idea was born and the culture that created Pre-Runners.
Off-Road Racer Podcast Episode 54: Craig Stewart
In this episode of the Off-Road Racer Podcast, I sit down with the godfather of pre-runners Craig Stewart. Son of the legendary Ivan “Ironman” Stewart, Craig had a very early introduction into the world of off-road racing building cars with his father, then going on to work for the great Johnny Johnson building and maintaining off-road race vehicles. From a teenager, Craig sharpened his skills becoming one of the best fabricators in off-road racing. Craig would create a whole new genre of off-road vehicle, the ”Luxury Pre-Runner” which is essentially a trophy truck with all the luxury accessories of a modern luxury vehicle and an unparalleled fit and finish. Craig’s pre-runners are used by the biggest names in our sport, like Steve Olliges, The McMillins, The Menzies, TSCO Racing, and more. Craig’s insane level of craftsmanship and attention to detail has also led to work outside of the vehicle-building world, fabricating installations for the Rosa Parks Metro Station, the San Diego Zoo Safari Park, to name a few. We talk about Craig’s entire history, his design philosophies, inspirations, and more. I’m your host Matt Martelli, and this IS the Off-Road Racer Podcast.

Short form videos need to be under 1 minute to come up in the feed. I'd love this channel to grow. Are you guys hiring editors or community managers?
