It's time for another drag race, this one's a bit different. We wanted to find out which was fastest off road, the KTM 950 Adventure of the Indian FTR.

@@cowmath77 he tried a couple of real close follow shots but got knocked out of the sky by the roost and decided to play a little safe after that.
My brother and I used to do the same thing until I roosted him with a rock which broke his nose guard, split his lip, broke 3 of his teeth and shattered his jaw and then had to ride home as we were in the middle of no where! He's all good now though 🙂👍

@@splintergg ah. Unlucky. I reckon full face helmet would have protected better, but it's not ideal for off-road of course.
That was much better than I expected! 😂👍 I just clicked for the modified 950.
Love my FTR - best bike I've ever owned. Beast mode.

0-60 was pretty variable as the ground conditions changed with each run. The best we recorded for each bike was almost identicaly at 8 seconds for 0-60.

That 950 is nuts, that thing was squirming around all over the road, looks bloody scary but I'd still love to have a go. Out of curiosity is the rest of the 950 build on the channel, it's not in the playlist?

How would it work with knobby tires? Those tires seem to just throw all that power away on the dirt.
What about proper off-road bike vs proper off-road 4x4? grip makes allot of difference, could be interesting

Another channel has done the 950 adv against a 4x4/AWD car. Can't remember the link now though.

Both bikes pretty much identical at around 8 seconds for their best run.
I recon with my engine setup on my LC8, It would beat the Indian. Mine has the 990 engine with the cams and carbs from the 950. It is noticeably stronger than the 950. My "975" is a couple kilos heavier though.. Still on the key, original front brakes and some electronics. Fun race though 😀

God the Indian looks so heavenly sitting next to that 950😂 I love my ktm500 but litteratly all there adventure bikes look atrocious
Much looser gravel in the right side.
