Yeah. Nice. But people need to understand their DC amp output. Those that want to use a diesel heater for example will not be able to use the 12v cigarette socket has they are max 10 amps and most heaters run at around 15 amps. Unless they have the Bluetti AC200 max or the new AC240. Those both have the 2 pin aviator port and are DC 12v and 30 amps. So will be able to do the same set up you have made and run everything in the van. Including the diesel heater.

Both the AC200 and the 200P have the 25amp 2 pin port. You are 100% right that the cig is limited to 10 amp 👍

The gift that keeps giving! Researching how to connect my ECOFLOW 160w panels to a Renogy Solar Charge Controller, yet still retain the ability to connect it to the ECOFLOW River 2, Your XT90 connector idea is a winner. I can put the Renogy SCC in a double battery box beside the camper battery, attach +/- cables to it with XT90 female connection to those cables, and then connect the ECOFLOW solar panel cable to that. Requires no change to the ECOFLOW product and no change to the Renogy product - it all happens in the cabling. Much appreciate this video showing such a possibility. Regards from Wisconsin.

This is really good Jonnie. I decided to scrap my fading, heavy, less efficient AGM batt setup on my camper and use my Bluetti instead. Your video clarifies what I was needing to understand in order to do this. I never thought about using one of my smaller batteries for a back up. The XTC adapter connection would make this simpler. I have no electrical knowledge. I thought when I bought my ecoflow everything would just plug into it with no problem. Not so. So I need a 20 amp fuse box with a switch or breaker on the wire. My ceiling fan and natures head (not yet purchased) gets connected to the fuse panel via the + - wires with those little Os on the wires. Think I got it. You are an angel.

Looks good to my but I would use a shut off switch just to save from any wear on the plugs Plus if something did short the wires would be hot and the shut off would be a fast and easy turn to kill the power. But then again I am some what of a pain in the Donkey. Take care stay safe.

Hi Jonnie! I am just starting my van build and want to thank you for your easy to understand and down to earth videos. I have an Ecoflow Delta 2 Max. The DC is a car plug with an XT60 connector. Can you a specific video on how to connect the puck lights with the dimmer switch to the fuse box? The three wires from the dimmer switch make it complicated between the power box and the fuse box. Thanks for the info!

What happens if I add the new cable on these. Is there going to be a conflict between where the power goes? I hope I didn't confuse you with my question. Call me me if I wasn't clear.

Yes you will have to isolate the two systems. You have to kill power to one and draw from the other. Jim could do it easy peasy. thank you for the kind compliment Dee

Ambulances are so technical. You should have a auxiliary battery though. You should be able to connect your panels to a solar controler to the battery. That wire cabinet is a electrical nightmare 🤣

Hi Jonnie, I’m sure I speak for many when I say that I appreciate you taking time to share your knowledge with us out in on the DIY van building space. Anyway, I’m currently building out a Sprinter van and already own an EcoFlow Delta Pro w/3600 wh of storage capacity. I’m working through the process of integrating it into the van, but, to charge the unit via the van’s alternator, Ecoflow has an XT60 - cigarette port adapter… but, my 2022 Sprinter doesn’t even have a cigarette Port, 😂! Is it possible to run a cable from the van’s charging system, back to the “garage” and into the XT60 port on my EcoFlow?

An idea: I would like to see some static images of the cables you have created complete with the inline fuse. That would help me out. I think I am onto it. I ordered the DC out cable from Bluetti that fits in the 25amp out port which terminates in the yellow xt90? female end and another shorter cable with the yellow xt90? male end on one side and a red and black connector on the other end. I believe I can cut off the red and black plug and then connect ring connectors to the red and black wires and attach those directly to my fuse block. Does this sound correct? I am willing to pay a consultation fee for a few emails back and forth if that is something you have time for and willing to offer. Gracias por todos informaciones. Yer awesome!

Just Two ??? You said you used XT 60s in the beginning and then switch to XT 90… And the metal adapter with a Round Lug are not called O-ring. O-rings are referred to as a rubbery Round gasket/seal. But great 👍 info.

The xt60 is the one on the panel I am using for my class and video. My Bluetti has the xt90. Thats the one I showed with the aviator plug for my system. I'll have to google the proper name since you're not telling me 🤣

Thank you for the informative video. I have an Anker 767 that I wired and connected as you have shown. Question. What is the total amount of load I can have at one time? Is it limited to 10 amps (which I think my Anker DC outlets are rated for). I'm not an electritian and I'm learning all this for the first time.

Which one do you have that had 3 10amp ports? You would really just need one, if you are concerned about going over the 10 amp you can just keep the DC fridge or other high item to its own cig plug.

I have the VTOMAN 1000. My fridge will actually be plugging into the 110 AC. But I’m hoping to have a composting toilet (~ 5amp), a ceiling vent fan, and several LED and USB plugs. Two of the outputs are 5521 (5.5 mm), so I can assume I can wire a circuit into a 5521. So really each plug should just run a 10 amp circuit with a 12.5 amp in line fuse? I’m also a nurse btw!

Ok Now I have a question for this video. I'm going to be wiring to Bluetti EP500Pro, I hope, and it has the Aviator which is great. The question is the Aviator connection is at 30 amps and my fridge, I think, is 6 amps. I guess I really do need to know the amps of the appliance I'm connecting to add the correct fuse. But, with the power station at 30 amps is it going that going to be ok? I will be connecting other things, lights, fans, pump but does that 30 amps divide over all appliances? Like I only have up to 30 amps total or I use up to 22 amps over all appliances and thats ok? Also, do I put a 20 amp fuse in line or 30 amp? I don't want to overload something i guess is what I'm trying not to do. Thanks again for the help!

So each fuse will be according to what you have connected to the panel. Typically you would not have everything running at once but.. what if. I have my system backed up with a 20 amp fuse. The rule is 1.25 x the total amps. What awg wire will you be using?

Not sure how well I explain it in my other video. I installed a Noco plug (amzn.to/3vnHxDg) on the side of my van. All you have to do then is plug in the AC power brick to the shore power port. I charge it on shore power when it is available. I LOVE the Bluetti system. It's just so so easy. Thanks for watching. I will soon be doing a video showing how I charge my Bluetti while driving. Love this video. I have a few clarifying questions... My unit is an Anker F2600 and the DC Output has 2 car ports rated at 10A (120W) max. I'm wondering if it'd be safe to run a 2:1 male-to-female car port cord to get max output (20A, 240W) into a fuse box? Otherwise, am I able to run two separate car ports to a single fuse box? Any recommendations on wire gauge?

I use 12 awg wire from my system to fuse block. I am not 100% but I think you will be limited to 10amp total output.

Great video Jonnie! Im going to power my van build this way. My question is how do I wire the switch block in? Jackery to fuse panel to each appliance to fuse block...I want to install a switch panel on the wall that I can turn each appliance on and off with. How do I wire that? Do I double up on the fuse block...maxxfan to fuse block, on/off switch for maxxfan power on top of same maxxfan on fuse block??

Yes you can if your power bank can handle the heater. Use the recommended fuse for your heater. If you are just using the cig type port, you will likely blow the fuse in the adapter.

Hi Jonnie. I'm getting closer to getting my shell and needing to do this. I have been gathering components over time. One question, what size fuse do you have for your in-line fuse and what size for the different components? One other question, when making up the connection wires, you soldered the wires. Would the lever wire connectors work in these situations.

Yes you can use the lever wire connectors as well. Patty I use a 20 amp fuse in mine. My research keeps leading to 20amp for the 12 awg wire and for the components I use. I was trying to gauge every fuse to the exact and a mechanic told me I could put 15 amp in the panel so that none of them are undersized. I have done this since I started almost 2 years ago. If I learn otherwise I will keep you updated.

Great Video. I have an AC200 - and use the aviator plug for powering my fuse box. I just ordered the AC300 and I hear it has a different style of aviator plug. Do you know what that type is called? Did you have to make a new attachment after upgrading to the ac300?

Hi Jonnie. Me again 😊. I just wired my second max air fan to my fuse panel. Like you, I am also using 12G wire on everything. I noticed that the ring connectors for the 12g wires are pretty big, and when I put them on my fuse panel, I have to bend them a little to fit them on the screw - which is fine. But when I screw in two negatives next to each other, they look like they’ll touch each other. The positive ring connectors have that little piece of plastic divider between each one to keep them separated, so I’m not worried about them. Does it matter if the negatives touch each other? Thanks! I’m very proud of my 2nd max air fan working perfectly when the fuse panel is plugged into my goal zero or Bluetti. You did it! You successfully taught a newbie how to wire electricity!! Thank you so much.

Yes they will be fine if they touch 👍 only the positive lines can not touch. Excellent job. ❤️

i do not use the DC/DC charger because the Bluetti does not have the terminals like a normal battery. mine is a very easy inverter install that allows you to plug in your bank and charge while you drive. under $150

What do you think about the use of Wago Push Wire or lever nut type connectors to make my cables that to go from the battery to the fuse panel? I'd like to skip soldering if I can.

I use the wago connectors all the time. However, the ones I have will not take the 10awg wire that comes on my xt60/xt90 connectors. Which battery do you have.

@@JonniesJourney Thanks! My main battery is a Bluetti EB70s. It has 12 V outputs from 10 amp 5.5mm x 2.1mm barrel plug or cigarette plug. I'd prefer to use the more reliable barrel plug. My back up battery will have to use a cigarette plug though.

Do you have to add a grounded wire from the chassis of the van to the fuse block?

No you only use one power supply at a time. The connector is universal on the fuse panel. So if the power banks have female connectors then put a male connector on the fuse panel. 👍

could you do the same with a rocker switch panel? go from bluetti via the aviator plug to the xt60 then xt60 to the rocker switch panel, then run all my 12 volt wires to the rockers, you think that would work? thanx for this great video

With the 12v cigarette socket do you have any advice on keeping the sockets in. I’ve got a heavy duty plug what seems like the centre pin is so spring loaded it actually pushes itself out making the connection hit and miss. Any tips ? I guess I could wedge something inside to help keep it there and tie it off

I have seen people tape them in but even that can be an issue. Does your system have any other DC output connections like an XT60 or an Anderson

@@JonniesJourney sadly not, it’s the eco flow river max. I have a different plug that feels like it would stay out just slightly thinner gauge wires that the one I was hoping to use. I’ll have to give it a go

Can I use a non fused block? Technically isn’t the output dc socket already fused within the power station?

The power station is protected. I use the fuse for backup and if I have a component that is creating a problem (never have had a problem) then I know where to search.

hello, Any ideas to using my ECOFLOW to connect to the fuse panel .. It output variations are different than yours with the Bluetti ... somehow i use an XT60 but from the Cigeratte lighter output ? any thought are appreciated. thanjks

Yes, get an xt60 and wire it using 12awg wire. Put the yellow ring connectors on each end going to the fuse block. You can add an inline fuse if you want the extra protection. amzn.to/41SAy3V

How did you deal with the aviator plug adaptor being a spring loaded push to connect vs the bluetti being a screw in connection? I did everything you did but the adaptor doesn’t stay on the bluetti very well because the connections are different 😢

The new Bluetti has a different aviator plug. This is an older model. This is the newer cable. amzn.to/3KImliG

I use a 20 amp fuse.

my Bluetti 200max has 3 DC output ports; 30 amp, 10 amp, and a 10 amp. Can i use them all at once?

You have a 30 amp DC port. One 10amp cig port and one 25amp DC aviator port. You can use the two DC ports that are on the front left side at the same time but wouldn't need to if you are using a fuse block. Cig port is not a stable connection. Don’t know if you still answer questions on this video. But I set up my system like this. My question is from the 12volt dc connection can you connect like a diesel heater from it or would that be too much on the system.

how efficient is the dc port on the Acmax?

I have never push the 30a port to the limit. Most of my components and builds don't use even close. It's the DC air-conditioning units that over load it. I don't recommend using a Bluetti if you want an efficient AC unit to run from thw DC port. Hope this helps.

How about this setup and a transfer switch for shore power/generator, so when available one could switch over and recharge the power bank ?

No sorry I have not come across one, but I think just installing an AC inlet through the side of cargo van accomplished what I was referring to, I just was overthinking the whole thing?!…thank you for the response. I saw they also make Xt90 to Xt60 connectors and vice versa - that may be an easy way to solve having to have two cables - now I do not know if that is dangerous or not…. Every brand Power bank outputs different amps so not having all that info is something I would research on that connector but it may be an option?

so, you plugged into the Bluetti (12v 10amp). How much can you power, water pump, lighting, TV 12v, refrigerator 12v, fan ????????????

No use your aviator port. Make or order a 2 pin and make the cord ro use your 25amp or 30amp if you have the AC300. Use the 10amp only if you have no higher port 👍

QQQQQ. do I need to have a DC to DC charger for my Bluetti? The gentleman at the conversion shop said I do not need that because of the cigarette lighters are already in.

The cigarette lighter will charge it but only at a little over 100w/hr. not the best choice. how much solar do you have.

What size fuse are you using?

Have you had any experience with the EcoFlow Delta Max 2? The DC out is only 10a would that be enough to power the fuse block?

You can definitely power block. Just watch how many components you have on at a time. The cig port can be unstable, so make sure you have a good plug and keep an eye on it when on those bumpy roads.

@mattheword the Bluetti AC200Max is one of my favorites. The DC Aviator port is 30amp output. It screws in and is very stable. You just need to order the cord to the block. @bryanmcmahon2475 the fuse is a secondary protection. With it being just a 10 amp system you already have a fuse in the cig lighter . 👍
