Lovely vlog and very helpful and one for our to do list - very nice views. It’s great when you go into a pub on your own and feel welcome isn’t it, and that’s how it should be. We see why you both loved the place. Lovely part of the country and it has been beautifully captured in the video. It is great to see you going back there. The memories we have made are things to treasure, forever. I am guilty of not always appreciating something… at that moment, but I certainly look back with fond recollections of times we have had later on. I often hope that Oliver and Alice, one day, will at least pass an area and remember or just think to themselves “we’ve been there.” These precious memories are truly priceless. Thank you! I suppose we’re so immersed in the experiences as they’re happening that it’s only when the memory is all you have that you really appreciate a moment’s true value/impact. It’s great to be able to start slowly reliving them more positively now 😊. Been a hard slog to get to that point. I’m sure Oliver & Alice will remember forever the great things you’re doing in your ‘memory maker’ (even though it isn’t a VW 😉😂), as will you both. Thanks for the lovely comment 😊👍🏻

I really love having found your channel. Everybody keeps telling me i'm an idot for wanting to go travelling through Europe in a pop up camper van. They say i should buy one of these larger mobile Homes with all the comfort from home because i am an elderly women of 58 years of age. You show thats nonsense! In September i will start my early retirement and then i will finally live for myself and i will try to heal from my Complex ptss, letting go of the heartbreak and hurt of a very difficult life. I will keep following you and hopefully i will be able to thank you in the future when our paths should cross

Wonderful, wonderful Lake District. Spent many a weekend in the Ullswater valley and crossed Kirkstone pass on my solo camping adventure last year. Oh I can’t wait til I get my van. Brings a tear to my eye whenever you toast Bri. Great to see you out again. Xx

Lovely first night back out in the van, we know that road well, im glad the gritter was just a precaution and you didnt get snow. Love going in that pub. Sure it’s supposed be haunted lol. Love going up kirkstone after spending couple hours around bowness. My daughter goes alone up there a lot. She loves the solitude.

@@CamperVanya I’m okay Sue, decorating the little place I’ve moved to in Suffolk, trying to keep busy while I endlessly wait for my campervan! Still, I tell myself it’s a good use of the time so that when the van finally arrives I can leave it all behind without a list of jobs nagging at me. Worst thing is getting hold of people to do the work - I am never doing this again! I’m making a list of the places you’re showing me so that I’ve got something to look forward to, enjoy Vanya x

Thanks for taking us along. Went last night with my son. Tipped it down but was lovely and snug, watched a film and didn’t get up till gone 9.30 sleep better in the van than at home.

You must, you two would love it. A couple of quieter park ups nearby if you prefer. You can actually see them in the drone footage. It feels so good to be revisiting the lakes again at last. Hope you’re both doing ok ❤️

Hi thanks for watching and commenting. I use the DJI Mini 2. If you get it I’d recommend the Fly More Combo pack, it comes with bag, spare batteries, charger, spare bits. All necessities really and not desirables. Good luck 👍🏻

Hi Sue! Fantastic area, and looks like a great park up. We very nearly stayed there when we were up for a few nights recently, but ended up going on the Sykeside site so we could get EHU. Will definitely give the pub a try some time though👍 All the best and take care 👍😊

We love it up there but overnight on the car park further along. Not been to the pub but looks nice.

Lovely to see you out and about again Sue and we'll definitely have to give Kirkstone pass a try, only a little further than the Aira Force stop over we did. Hiya and thank you 😊. I’m not very switched on with the whole wifi in the van thing but I have unlimited data on my mobile phone so just use that as a hotspot to connect the iPad or the laptop if I’m editing (I only edit on longer trips). x

@@CamperVanya thanks Sue. Think a lot of folks do that. Think our neighbour has a separate sim card with data, we might have to pick his brains about it. Just thinking about our pending Scottish trip and possibly needing to edit and upload. Got a backup idea and bought a large 128gb SD card, so we can store footage till we get back if needed. @@the-other-windsors When I did my Scottish trip last year I was putting a video a week out so I only edited one video while on the road and did the rest when I got home. It’s a fine balance, you don’t want it to take over your trip. Oh and you can never have too many SD cards and backing up is essential as an found out after losing a whole day’s footage! Yes a separate data sim a good idea. Have a great trip. Exciting! xx 🚐

To many sheep in the Lake District, They have denuded it . Rewild ASAP. Great vid.

@@dirteegash I'll be honest even though the GoPro is a great picture and has a decent in-built stabilisation, it can be unreliable at times. I've experienced it randomly freezing many times and I've had to take the battery out and reinsert it. It doesn't sound too big a deal until you have it in its media mod with mic, etc. attached and have to unplug everything to take the battery out and put it back in again. This can also happen if it overheats. If it does it when you're driving you obviously have to pull over to sort it. That said, I know that no camera is perfect & I don't want to put you off but make sure you do some research before buying one to make sure you get the best for you. I find 'Air Photography' KZread channel a great reference source, he reviews all the products. ATB, Sue 👍📸
