Of Mice & Men - Glass Hearts
Музыка
Of Mice & Men's song "Glass Hearts" comes from their album 'Restoring Force'. Buy/stream at ofmiceandmen.lnk.to/Restoring...
These are the hardest four years of my life,
they walk right by me heads turned with closed eyes.
They don't even see me.
At night in my house,
I'm still all alone.
This is not a home,
they don't even see me.
The scars on my body,
they don't even bleed,
I never do this for me.
The scars on my body,
they don't even bleed,
I only do this for you to see.
How am I supposed to see through your eyes?
When you never saw the stars were falling at your feet.
Is it a song, is that what they need?
For so long I've tried to get them to hear me.
Picking & stabbing, their words feel like knives.
Tearing & ripping the seams of my life,
I've tried to convince them their words hurt like stones,
I just wish they'd just leave me alone.
I am on my knees, I need you to hear me,
I am on my knees, hear me please.
How am I supposed to hear what you hear?
When you never heard the sound of our glass hearts breaking,
with every tick of the clock when you are gone.
I know what you've been through,
this hell was my life.
You have to keep pushing,
I've seen through your eyes.
Your days are like pages,
the chapters unread.
You have to keep turning,
your book has no end.

Some say they're located in the back of the mind where old memories have been pushed back. Others say the feels are located right beside the heart and extend towards the gut. Since the feels apparently live in different parts of us, I would listen to the song and record your findings for future generations c;

For those of you who think that Austin, "lost his scream," you're completely off. He's changing up the style of his vocals according to the tone of the music that they adjusted to for this album.

It rather sounds more like fried vocals, or raspy vocals than screams. at the very least it's very borderline between fried vocals, and fry screaming

When he said “THESE ARE THE HARDEST 4 YEARS OF MY LIFE!!!!” I felt that
Out of all of Mice & Men's songs, this one is my fav..!
Most under rated band ever. Miss Austin
The last few lines of this song really got to me. Because I remember an interview in which he said his mom always compared life to a book. Different experiences making up chapters. And how he always thought that meant to appreciate every moment and to know that things couldn't end if they didn't feel complete. And... I just love Austin's philosophies so much.
How have I seriously not heard these guys before!? Fucking frustrating when I think of what I've been missing out on!

This is by far the best album Of Mice & Men has ever made. I cannot stop listening to it! I'm in love.
I don't know how anyone will ever top this album. It's perfect
I love it when I see people saying shit like "ugh can't scream, total shit." That's funny cause I didn't know that having a youtube/google plus account made you a aficionado on vocals. The vocals on this album are great it's like when people said the new The Devil Wears Prada album was shit because "he couldn't scream anymore" and sounded raspy. Having those little imperfections (voice cracks, breaths etc) add emotion to it and depth to the whole sound. Gives a greater impact to the listener because the vocalist is able to show how meaningful and close these lyrics are to them. So seriously grow the fuck up.

either way you don't need to be a fucking aficionado on vocals to see that his screams aren't what they used to be

killerhippo10 vocalist change their style all of the time. Corey Taylor Mr. Neck himself even said he changed his over time. It all depends on what the artist their self wants and prefers. If things didn't change over time then life and music would be pretty fucking boring.

Yeah I didn't even think of them but it's so right! I mean people tend to hate change like in their case people didn't like it when they lost Jonny. Especially when they continued to have a inconsistent line up. But I'm pretty pleased with the current line up hell there hasn't been a time I didn't like it they're just a great band.

ProDeimonk opinions can be wrong sometimes or made from biased purpose. i think you mean personal preference.
I already loved this song but after reading the lyrics it makes me feel closer to this song. This so explains my most difficult years as an adult to the T. :3 Thank God for music.
2:29 made me so happy. Fuck, it's going to be hard for any band to top this album. It's so good, and I was expecting it to be mediocre at best.
For some reason, this song brings me back to high school with like 2 acquaintances (which I wasn't allowed to hang out with after school) and growing up in state's custody. It was hell. I started cutting... "The scars on my body, they don't even bleed! I only do this for you to see!"...
Great vibes. I feel the anger
The lyrics are genuine, the music is well written, the production is on point. It's awesome music.
I fucking love that intro, gets my blood moving
Moth pit introduced me to such an amazing song.
The distant guitar in the beginning is perf.
My heart started racing as soon as the song started, this song is absolutely amazing!
second & sebrig really breaks my heart but at the same time motivates me, yknow??
Probably my fav song from this album!
This song is just just a master piece
This was the first song i ever heard from this band. I was in hot topic and the song started playing and i had to know who it was. The lady working there had to search for their playlist it took forever but finally she found who the band was. Im so happy i walked in there that day i have a new favorite band now :)
This song is still a favourite of mine :)
PERFECT SONG!!!! I swear I'm crying, this is so me, OMG
So many people saying Austin sounds shit. I think his vocals in all of Restoring force is brilliant. So it wasn't what you expected, so what? They can't please everybody. But don't go spreading your 'opinion' all over the comments where people get butthurt and start arguments. It's pointless. If you don't like the song, move on to something you do like. If you like this song, stay and have a whale of a time listening to it. Same goes for every song really. I don't like a lot of songs but I don't go on the comments and spread around how 'shit' it is because there are people who love that song. WHY DO WE NEED TO START ARGUMENTS ABOUT IT!?
I love this song so much!! ❤️❤️
Wow this song is absolutely amazing! Lyrically one of the best songs by OM&M
This song is freakin awesome, i could listen to this all day
Speechless.
This whole album is brilliant I love it *-*

Awesome..
Former emo garbage truck revisiting all my old music,, my music taste has changed drastically (though my lil middle school self would hate me for saying that) but even if i cant get myself to listen to all these bands 24/7 anymore some of them had beautiful lyrics and sound!! Ive changed as a person so much by letting it go but i'm a lot happier at this point in my life
just perfect :D !!!
Love Austin and everything he stands for.
