AJ is such an awesome guy. So down to earth, so supportive. I was walking with my GF and kid close to where he lives, and when he saw me and my son turn round to see where that sweet sweet inline six sound was coming from, he gave us a lekker rev as he rolled on by. Top oke, with a huge love and respect for the brand. Hope to get my mk3 to this standard some day!

The VR6 is not an inline engine, it's a narrow angle V6. Angle ranging, if I can remember correctly, from 8 to 13 degrees depending on years and displacement.

You're right, The name VR6 actually comes from the German initials for a V engine (V-Motor) and a straight (inline) engine, therefore the VR engine is described as a "Vee-Inline engine".

It has 7 main cap bearing journals and the same firing order as a inline 6. So it’s a inline 6
