I laughed so hard in this interview like mi deh deh wid unnu, I had to comment! Every chapter, every verse, everything said was a source of inspiration. Beenie Man has been a favourite artist for a while now, even when all my childhood friends had a preference for Bounty. This interview gave me so many more reasons why. Loved his take on the Mandela experience, being his high point, when perhaps it was his lowest moment....or so we thought! Man!!! Thank you!

Beenie MAN, just want you fi know seh that nuff name supn deh, is so relatable. I have four names. One does not appear on my birth certy and then the others names I did not know the order they came in until I was big an get to see my birth certificate. BEENIE you an Yendi cracking me up so much.

As an early 80s baby whom grew up with everything dancehall on the radio, I was drawn to this artist because of his numerous n catchy girl songs which he's mostly synonymous with. Henceforth he's been my favorite dj. Number one stage performer, chart topper local and international, numerous awards to his name. Truly the king. Big up yourself Beenie man. Been through a lot, lots of other artists tried to get u down and out the dancehall space but none have succeeded infact u were outshining them before and after there attempts u still outshine them in the long run. For a person to go through so many challenges and manages to come out successful and maintain it, that person well deserves a title and in so "You are the King of the Dancehall" No other artist completely outdone you local and international in every way regards to dancehall as well as showcasing dancehall and Jamaican music on a whole collectively.
