i saw this on twitter but i thought it’d be nice to leave a comment here too, but this animatic is rly gorgeous. i keep rewatching it! i love how the lyrics fit so well, and my fav bit is when it swaps from dan feng smiling to dan heng being wary of ren. their story is rly so 🥹 in a good way and this animatic does amazing in portraying the conflict in emotions they both have!!! esp ren’s expressions, they’re rly so good. and the parallels between their shared bracers, to the cups of them drinking together under the moonlight to them separating rly hits hard !! all in all, i loved this so much 💗💗💗 ty for sharing it with everyone

i couldn't help but notice that in all of the scenes from the past, their figures are depicted in white with grey backgrounds, and when it's in the present, they are grey while the bg is white. nice usage of colors!
