Get to know Odoo PLM
Odoo’s Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) module works hand-in-hand with the larger Odoo MRP suite of apps to add version control to your manufactured goods.
Here are a few key feature highlights for PLM
• Convenient drag-and-drop Kanban view to keep track of and prioritize engineering change orders for manufacturing-engineering teams.
• Integrated approvals on every PLM task, all the way down to specific line items on the BoM. Review and approve detailed BoM Changes, the BoM Rebase, and Operation Changes.
• Manage multiple BoM versions for each manufactured product: build draft BoMs, roll out new ones seamlessly into the production line, and revert to old ones, when necessary.
• Plays well with other Odoo materials apps, like Manufacturing, Shop Floor, Purchase, and Inventory.
Use the PLM app to manage multiple versions of your manufactured products. It's great for recording iterations as part of a larger product-market fit strategy or for gradually implementing improvements over time. PLM is especially useful for products and components with many variations, such as nail polish formulations, as we see in this Tour video!
Pricing
All of Odoo's applications are free to use under the Community (open-source) version, and pricing starts at about $25 per user on the Enterprise/SaaS version, which includes a bunch of extra features along with optional cloud hosting which is included for free.
