I take it as a sign that I've watched too many of your videos that as soon as you said, "There's an abundance of metal on this chair," I instinctively thought, "...so eyedropping would not be recommended."

The world would be a better place if everyone had a decent chair. All that chair needs is a good pen cup. Use it in good health, David!

I'm actually in the market for an office chair, so this was a pleasant surprise. 😂

Great review, David. A truly ergonomic desk chair, and this appears to be one, is always going to be north of $500, and often FAR or even FAR, FAR north of that sum. But it's your back, your neck, your joints and your overall day in/day out comfort that counts. And a well-constructed one is going to last a lot longer too, making the cost per year much more reasonable. For the last 16 years I've had Hermann Miller Aeon chair which I purchased new for $1,000. It's still in good working order, but the Aeon chair has seen many improvements over that span of time. Now the cost to replace mine with a comparably equipped but improved new Aeon is almost $1,900 before tax. All Aeon chairs come with a 12 year warranty. Out of warranty now, if something happened to mine, it could conceivably be repaired for much less than the cost of a new one, but like a car, at some point it makes more sense to replace with a new car and stop the money drain and annoyance of multiple repairs. Thanks for reviewing the OdinLake Ergo Plus 743, which is a much more affordable option than a new Aeon! If I do ever have to replace mine, the cost of the OdinLake is $1,000 less than the Aeron.

Thanks for the review. It was time for a new chair for my husband's office at home. He designs graphics for his sign business in Greensboro, NC. He letters firetrucks and ambulances, has done the ones in Durham recently, and Western Wake. I saw this chair last year and came back for reviews before buying it for him. I appreciate a review that's complete and not from someone on their website.

I didn't expect a chair review but won't mind the new information.

have you been following the financial troubles of your San Diego Padres? It seems the problems stem from their home tv deal collapsing so they had to borrow $50million to cover payroll. It looks like they will be trimming salaries to cover the hole in their budget. They are not the only pro team facing this situation.

I personally would not categorize the issues as "troubles". From what I saw, the loan was something common that many teams do...it wasn't an act of desperation. The TV deal was never the largest revenue generator for the team, so the collapse, while not ideal, wasn't crippling. They have already trimmed payroll significantly by not picking up the options for a few expensive pieces. While the holes still need to be filled, and there is a large, Soto-sized question which needs to be answered, I am optimistic going into next season.

I hope all goes well for your team. The report that I saw implied that a major company is pulling out of many of the major sports teams and could result in fans supplying the difference in budget deficits.Owners and players are not taking paycuts.@@FigbootonPens

If real leather, it should be cleaned and cream nourished. Faux leather will always be cheap and disasterous with mess as you have mentioned. Micro plastic from leatherette makes more than a mess, environmentally pollutes.
