After seeing the movie with my friend, immediately after we left the theater I said to him “I need to make that as a prop. Only question is how.” We had a whole discussion about it and agreed foam would be the best but the main question was sight and you solved it with ease. I remember a Batman Beyond episode that featured these little things. Scared the crap out of me as a child, and that was saying something since I grew up with tales of the Wendigo and such as the norm. Lovely build though!

The best part of all these videos is always the little asides where Odin just nerds out and chuckles at whatever he's making. It's so cute and wholesome.

I would love to see you revisit the alien face hugger with this type of method. Wearable face hugger would be awesome!

now im just imagining someone making a dozens of these and handing them out at a con and trying to get as many people as possible to wear them and act like starro is controlling them.

Glad you mentioned the addition of wire. Also thought that having the wire have "ear loops" as with spectacles would be another way to easily wear one of these. :)

P L E A S E make bloodsport's or peacemaker's helmet, i think those two would be a real challenge to make

Starro is so cool, that he could have a movie of his own. As a fan of Horror, I would have loved to have seen a Starro horror movie in the vein of Invasion of the Body Snachers even have some of the people infected with spors walk around like classic slashers like Jason or Michael Myers.

Real starfish have little barbs on the underside - they grab tight enough that pulling it off will rip out the hairs of your arm. So they don't need claws to grab on

I've been making plans for this. The eye is going to have motion - I'm using a Raspberry Pi Pico connected to a 1.28 round LCD with a glass dome over it that will be embedded into the foam

That would make an awesome set of glasses.

Love this!! Any chance of doing one where the eye moves?? Maybe an LCD screen with an animated eye that gets projected onto a glass lens?? Kinda like how those Google thermostats work! One idea is to take one of those cheap LCD watches apart and reprogram it to display an animated eye.. BenHeck has been posting videos about $20 LCD watches lately and taking them apart.. Something to look into for a future update!

This mask would be awesome for Halloween. Starro always scared me as a kid. The idea of mind control mixed with face huggers really freaked me out lol

Alternatively, You could use puffy paint for adding texture. It would be a lot easier than clay and would've saved you a lot of time as well. Great job as always. ^^

A slight suggestion that might make the masks fit on your face just a little better is to maybe cut out a little slot on the back so that it contours around your nose a little better, which would then have the whole mask lay a little flatter against your face. It would probably help with the look of a starface strapped to your face. Other than that it looks great,

NICE! That is one of the weirdist props I've seen but it turned out so good! That epoxy gloss effect really worked well. Also...ending...I was SO wondering if you were going to do something as BumbleScorpion with this! Sad to see Starro has taken over the channel though!

Whoa, I've been thinking on how to do a starro mask set, but this is amazing, the stuff you can paint but see through still, the bendy wires to move it ,I'll paint a glass eye or get a commission form someone and do the glaze effect nice job

I honestly hope odin makes a Kiryu (2002 mecha godzilla) suit that one is honestly my favorite of the mechagodzilla designs, or maybe the crossover Nerv Anti-G weapon

Looks great, very like the movie. Although they seem to be a bit bigger in the movie, but that's an easy fix.

Wish I had that talent, I would try it.

Might just be me but even the small amount of pressure that blue medical face masks apply to my ears is too much for me to handle for a long time. I think having this star applied to my glasses would drive me insane. There are transparent/clear elastic bands. I'd attach one that goes around behind the head and connects 3 or 4 tips of the star.
