Odin Leather Guitar strap build

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

I've always wanted to know how to play guitar. I even bought one a few years ago with high hopes of teaching myself how to play. Needless to say, it's been a few years, and I still haven't learned to play. However, I did design my own leather guitar strap so I could at least look the part. LOL.
In this video, I walk you through my process for using my guitar strap template/pattern set to make one for yourself or a friend - a link to the acrylic template set is below. You can select softer chap-style leather, English Bridle, or other tannages to adjust how soft or stiff the strap is. In this video, I use a medium to firm temper water buffalo leather with a 3oz Hermann Oak saddle skirting to line it. The finished piece has a great heft to it while remaining soft and pliable.
Let me know what you think of the video - the project, style of the video, length, editing, etc. This is our first video release in almost a year and the first one in our new workshop space in Lewisville, Texas.

Check with with the Leather Machine Co. They should have that guides. I normally use a size 22 needle with 138 thread on this machine.

Hi there sir. What type of leather and what thickness for a belt should I get for jeans that will last decades? I know nothing about belts. Do they make them out of one piece of leather or 2 glued together? Which will last longer? Which type of animal leather is the best? Thank you.

Things do look much darker in this video than they actually are. In the evening to do tend to turn off the lights in the retail store, but the workshop remains fairly well lit.
