10:08 I swear, this scene is one of the funniest parts of this video. Odgrub hiding behind a (very confused) Courier as the Ebony Warrior tries to avoid harming the courier to get to Odgrub is just pure comedy gold. Brilliant video 2kliksphilip!

Will be really looking forward to when this comes out. The other three really have been a treat to watch.

Other people are calling it "weak" but if you look at it more as an epilogue than a final chapter, it's perfectly fine.

I have to say first that Odgrub 3 is one of my favourite videos of all time. But I must admit that this didn't quite hit the mark for me. One of the central themes of Odgrub 3 that made it so good was how Odgrub couldn't go back in time, be it to fix his mistakes (killing lydia), or to regain his former strength (to defeat the Ebony Warrior). And what he did to live with those mistakes and shortcomings gave the story a lot of emotional gravity and kept it grounded. I think this installment teased a bit too much with the 'what if Odgrub 3 was just a dream' idea, which undermined the emotional gravity of the story. I know it's clarified at the end that Odgrub 4 is the dream and Odgrub 3 was real, but I suspect it would have worked better if this was established right at the start and this was framed more as Odgrub's subconscious lament of what he wish things could've been, rather than a possible 'happily ever after' alternate reality. In other words, if this was an epilogue rather than a sequel. Because Odgrub 3 had too beautiful an ending for any sequel to do it justice.

I notice a lot of good criticisms, most of which I get. But I gotta say the comedy in this just really clicks for me. This got a lot of genuine chuckles out of me, one of my favorites being the “reach into his loincloth” set of jokes and I also liked the bit about the music creeping in as he shouts at his items scattered about in Riften, as though he is about to go on a murder spree but stops himself for Lydia. The meta story elements are a fun twist on what has a bit of aimless narrative but it gives me a folky feel, like I’m being told a legend with all the silly things oral traditions can bring. I feel like there are elements of genius writing underneath what might feel like a somewhat loose plot.

@@2kliksphilip My favorite Odgrub moments have always been where he derails the 'story' in favor of being his own special brand of bastard. If I ever need a good laugh, I go back and watch the beheading montage from Odgrub 2. The fact that not even a narrator can fathom or predict his thirst for civilian blood has me in stitches every time.

@@2kliksphilip Not the guy you were asking for but I would like to share my opinion if you wouldn't mind. I feel that odgrub 2 was a necessary addition to the series but as you said that freedom within it helps to give further draw to it and the story of odgrub. It also serves, even if unintentional, as foreshadowing for odgrubs continued decay and weakening throughout episode 3. The episode still shows odgrub as mighty and powerful, but sets a great precursor to his newfound mortality at episode 3 so as not to make it feel sudden. May I say that (however little this opinion means to you) I am genuinely stunned with odgrubs story and how you have made it. Having the first video and parts of the second as essentially a typical skyrim exploity comedy video easily draws in views. But you managed to intertwine it so perfectly with odgrub that as the series went on he became more and more central to it as opposed to it being focused on skyrim being a buggy mess. Then you released the masterpiece of Odgrub 3 which is genuinely stunning in it's character development, references, foreshadowing. Honestly whether you did it intentionally or unintentionally you used almost a business type method of drawing viewers in before hooking them on a characters story when they most likely originally clicked on the video for more skyrim trolling. Sorry if this entire reply is just "Yeah I know, That's why I did it" to you lol but I just wanted to speak out as a fan on the technicality of how stunning this is.

I love how much fun this video was, no need to be at all serious. The funny voices, the silly cliches, the it was all a dream joke. Reminds me of something one would've made as a kid just for fun of it. Thanks for reminding me of those times, Philip. 🙂

Odgrub's got so much testosterone he grew a beard through the helmet while waiting for the premiere.

Loved it, every now and then I think of Odgrub and come back and watch, this time there was a fourth. I look forward to the next time I come back and there's a fifth hopefully.

This video is just a place holder for the odgrub story. Almost like a April fools joke or a filler episode. It focused on jokes and meta humor rather than the actual story which some people might not like. But I feel it will add to the story in the long run. Plus I thought the series was over so I’m ecstatic that we got a new video after 2 years. And I hope we get a behind the scenes video

When Klick did the Lydia voice I busted out laughing, completely unexpected and I love it.

The ending ironically,made incredible sense. I kind of appreciate this being so different. I don't think I quite want another "Odgrub". I don't even know if you can make another one like that. Still,video was great.

@@2kliksphilip Haha,I would love another one. I just feel like this is a case of viewers liking to dream about a characters future adventure. I think Odgrub's ending is perfect. It's a cherry on top of a cake. Whatever happens afterwards is up to the storyteller... But if you want that as a challenge,do it no balls Phillip

I truly enjoyed the first Odgrub videos, because they would mix humor, guide-like elements and a "zany" but easy to digest and fun story, with hilarious but also quieter moments. This one just feels too convoluted and sudden. Granted, I was baked when watching the premiere, but I really couldn't follow what was going on, what Odgrubs motivation was and what was and wasn't a dream. The whole waking up sequences sadly don't feel like a cool "what is real and what isn't"-moment but devalue every other scene and make them meaningless. In a way, the ending perfectly encapsules that and it makes me believe you know what I am talking about. Not your best one, but I liked following the journey. Thank you.

Brilliant video, as an Odgrub fan I was really upset for not having watched this earlier!! KZread had simply never showed me it. I am now looking forward to possible sequel(s) of the series. Just goes to show views and video popularity are not equivelant to video quality, it trully is a shame this has so few views.

For the longest time I didn't watch any of your Odgrup content as I started to follow you after you released those videos. I always thought that I won't enjoy them as I don't know anything about Skyrim. But now I finally took a gamble and watched the first one. Now I have binge watched all of them and man, was it worth it! These were so good! Can't wait for the story to continue!

This appeared in my subscription box before it was released, but not after :( I had to be reminded of it because of your 3kliksphilips "ad".

Phillip has done it again, another perfect addition to the Odgrub Saga. A great way to continue the story and its characters without invalidating the previous entries. While the "it was all a dream" twist is often regarded as sophomoric, in this context it was executed beautifully. Phillip's use of dream-space in the previous entries made an episode consisting entirely within that dream-space a perfect new addition. 10/10.
