wouldn’t have thought seeing inkheart recommended in 2023 but im glad
My oddly specific search right now is "book with fantasy elements that reads like a fairy tale, but isn't actually a fairy tale retelling or an edgy dystopia"
I just finished reading a queer cozy fantasy called Can't Spell Treason Without Tea by Rebecca Throne. It has love, books, mages, tea, dragons and plants - highly recommend!! ☕🐉📚🌿

ahh yes! that one is still on my list, but since I don't own it I first have a bunch of other books to get to

That's the best book title ever omh
Totally agree with Name of the Wind ♡ Emily Wildes Encyclopaedia of Faries is such a good read! I haven't stopped talking about it 😅
love this!! The energy, the recs >
The Invisible Library,... An entire series of absolute magic, adventure and close calls. It's the best series I've read since I read The Awaken Online Series by Travis Bagwell. And I'm a very bookish person,...so I've read many. But when I read the first book I was completely and utterly hooked. Oh My God worthy.

I absolutely Adore the invisible library
I love that a lot of these books aren't so heard of! Thanks!
I love anything with a multiverse, and The Invisible Library kinda sounds like that, so I'll have to try it out
Ahh so many good recs! 😊📚✨A Natural History of Fairies looks super cute, and I'm adding The Invisible Library and Name of the Wind to my wishlist ASAP!
I need more cosy in my life! 🩵🩵
YASS NAME OF THE WIND I AGREE WITH ALL YOU SAID I LOVED IT TOO
My recommendation for a book where you would like to live in the setting is A Psalm for the Wild Built by Becky Chambers. It's the first book that ever made me feel hopeful about the future of society. If I knew we were heading in that direction, I would be a lot more okay haha. For the prompt about looking for a pirate fantasy book, I would also recommend The Adventures of Amina Al-Sarafi by S.A. Chakraborty.

A Psalm for the Wild Built is SUCH a great little book. The follow up is also so wonderful. I’m so happy to see others have loved it too!!
Your pairing of Emily Wilde with A Natural History of Fairies is spot on - I've actually drawn this comparison as well, and recommend one to adults and one to kids (and adults). They pair together so beautifully.

ahh omg i'm so pleased to hear it!
The Invisible Library series is a series where I rate every book as slightly eh, not bad but not the best either, except I love the world and characters, I just find the pacing a bit odd. But I do still love the series and highly recommend it to anyone who’s interested. Kai is one of my favourite characters and I appreciate how the fae aren’t just “ah yes sexy man”. Like they are described as attractive but they’re also creatures made of chaos who thrive on creating trouble and I love that take on the fae.
Your accent is so mixed and interesting that my brain gets confused trying to pinpoint it 😅🤍 loving the recs in this video btw!
Lovely book recommendations 🧙♀️🪄🐲🐉

YOU HAVE TO READ Emily Wilde's Encyclopaedia of Faeries!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It was one of the bestbooks I have read lately
Hi Leora! I've been following your channel for a little while now and I was asking myself why you don't ever mention The Starless Sea, now I know why 😅 but you need to finish it soon and let us know what you think! I was absolutely captivated by it, the Arbour felt so real and cozy and at the same time so eerie. It is one of the best books I read this year, I couldn't put it down, even if in the end it gets a little to intricated for me.

You wouldn't happen to have a recommendation for a fantasy romance with a soft for her hero, would you? Kinda like Mated to the Monster by Sarah Spade or Muscles and Monsters by Ashley Bennett.
The name of the wind is just coming home. 10000%
I've just finished uprooted and loved the mysterious evil forest and fairytale aspects of it, any recommendations that are similar?
The ex hex looks really nice! I've read the invisible library it was a nice book, I wonder if there is a second book... Thanks for all of your suggestions!

Thank you for this! A recommendation for books about books The Eyre Affair by Jasper Fforde. It's a book in books.
Love love love! I was actually JUST thinking the other day how I need a specific book rec video! Ive been on the hunt for a atmospheric semi cozy fantasy book with like Skyrim vibes. I want taverns, I want sleeping under the stars, I want adventure and maybe a little romance!

I loved Inkheart! 🥰. I also never finished The Starless Sea, I got bored and dnf’d it…sorry everyone who likes it.
I just finished The Fairy Bargains of Prospect Hill it was lovely!!! Has anyone read The Tree of Ages?
TECHNICALLY, The Starless Sea is not about books, it is about stories. A fact stated at some point on its very pages. But there are a lot of books in it. 😊 Please read An Encyclopaedia of Faeries, it is charming!
Please recommend something like the folk of the air series...pls

Are you looking for something similar in terms of characters and romance, plot and literal content, or vibes and writing style? I can't think of anything with a similar romance, but I can think of a few books with slightly similar general vibes but very different plot and characters.
4/13 The Starless Sea is $6 on Chirp for 2 more days #audiobook
📚😊
The Graphic Novel Mooncakes is very cute. However, towards the end, there is a cult scene where one of the characters is in great danger of being harmed. Personally I found this scene very disturbing, so I just wanted to give a warning here for anyone going into the story 🌼
🧙
Wait, mashed potatoes are the best part of the meal? I like potatoes but best part?

I love this video and you but maaaan I don't think I'd talk about Raeleen and Ariel after the Reading Rush drama and their weird performative allyship related to it.
I think Where Our Oceans Meet is a really good queer fantasy- there’s a slowburn romance, commentary on ableism and corrupt government but it’s also really sweet because the two main characters sort of trade worlds and teach eachother things about the land and ocean🤌🏻 literally five stars to me
