I'm a little shocked at how many of these sensory toys were things I played with as a child and really made me feel calm. These are some of the internet's preferred ways to fidget.

As an adult with autism and a sensory processing disorder, I love seeing people get in on sensory toys. It normalises it for us and I don’t have to feel so awkward using one at university to concentrate. If you think they’ll help your anxiety go for it :)

Yeah I have anxiety and slight anger issues, I have that like push pop and a stress ball that has a flour like texture inside of it instead of slime and its true they really help, even if you are in uni or other school types, and I don't think it matters if your the only one who uses them to concentrate !

Storytime! As a kid, I had one of the "water wiggles" and I used to always play with mine. One day, I was sitting at the computer playing a game, and decided to pick up the toy. When playing with it for a little bit, it eventually exploded, and got all over the PC. I was grounded from the computer for a month after that 👍

I don't know how I ever forgot about this. The girls in elementary school used to make stress toys themselves by putting shampoo in balloons. It was honestly a little annoying because they wouldn't ever stop talking about them and trying to "sell" them. I remember one time a girl accidentally popped one and the shampoo got in her eye, from that point forward the teachers banned them. It's Ironic how stressful they made the stress releveling toys.
