Those locks aren't too secure either, I've had them on a few machines in the past and you can just open them by pushing a flat head screwdriver in and turning with minimal effort.

Ben, I love your show but I think you should review the Weatherstar system that the weather channel used. That would be a pretty interesting video think of all the hilarity and storm jokes/memes you can make. You could even throw in some EAS jokes ohohohohohoh the possibilities are endless please do a video on it!

looks like bob and a nice paperclip need to be friends, or for those daring types a windshield wiper blade insert and bob is not going to be around to be in your life:) devices like this as a rule are to prevent kids without technical knowledge, like how to use a screwdriver, or for those kids with less technical skills, a hammer to bobs door likely will remove it too:)

Roy Unit Yup. I swear this thing is a Beatles ripoff record.

A record player draws less than 10w and will probably not be registered consistently. TVs draw more than 60w, usually.

There are two knockoffs on Amazon for $25 or less (compared to bob's frickin' $80!) - the TV Allowance and the PlayLimit. Would be cool to see a comparison if you could get your hands on them.

RIP Rush Limbaugh. Regardlessl of what you thought of him or his politics, if he hadn't burst on the scene in the late 80's commercial AM radio would be as extinct as the pay phone today.

I have been watching the channel for a few years now and SOMEHOW missed this device. What an awful contraption. (It could only be worse if it actually WORKED.) This is electronic child abuse. (a good name for a band 😁). At damn near 60, I am not pissed off at this thing as a "kid", but as an old ass man, I never would have had this thing deployed against my kids, And I'd be PISSED if my kids imposed such a random assed parental neglect unit on my grandchildren. 😠 TV or video games aren't the "problem", Not wanting to raise your kids is the problem. Idiots that use things like this HATE technology their kids use, but are fine with technology that reduces THEIR responsibly. Rant over.
