the true story about me when i am playing as oda

A minor thing I also like about Oda is that I can finally choose the weaponsmith upgrade for my blacksmith because with extra melee attack, yari wall is more devastating and I mean with such a low base armor, it’s not like they will survive arrows with those armor buff anyway. I mean they are also cheap so I never worry about casualties of my ashigaru.

Or as I like to call them, Chairman Oda's Yari Pesant Revolution.

This made me laugh far more then it should have;) I like how the Ikko iki are the only faction to take the hit in the chin without flinching. Ottomo, Tekeda & shimazu are strong but not big contenders like the Oda or the Ikko iki. Ai Uesugi is garbage though as my 2nd clan played/victory after Hojo it holds a special place for me. Monk warrior warcry & monk bow fire as well as whistling arrows might be the only thing that can contend reliably against yari ashigaru. Uesugi is a boss in a good players hands. 1 or 2 warrior nuns are better then people give credit as a support unit. Samurai units units as a rule of thumb are pretty terrible in Shogun 2 with Yari-lonsword Ashigaru & monks being king in their respective roles. Honestly I think ikko iki is stronger then Oda just because they get larger yari Ashigaru units & lone swords supported by monks. Only Oda's long ashigaru outdo Ikko iki units & oda matchlocks which few players use the latter well if they use them at all. Yari wall is strong but Against a good player it has it's limitations.

Just as I am about to start another Oda campaign. Superb timing my dude!

Vassals suck. They give less money, dont give you the province bonus (horse, smithing, philosophy...) and will backstab you whenever they can.

I think if you take a vassal it doesn't contribute as much to realm divide, and can held keep you from overextending yourself. Plus if you take them after realm divide you can actually have clans to trade and ally with again. It has benefits, but can also cause problems.

After you become Shogun they become usefull, but yeah, before that not too much unless you have no allies.

But it is also what makes Oda Nobunaga the absolute Chad of Japan. Nobunaga got stuff done and got it done quick. He had a "screw it, lets do it" attitude that pushed his clan foward into modern warfare and power. Many of Nobunaga's practices were pushed even further and practiced within the Tokugawa Shogunate.

I got too much enjoyment out of this xD

Really now, I don't get why they say that this campaign is difficult. With a straight upgrade to all ashigaru units as well as the 33% decrease in upkeep cost for all of them, you can feel huge Doom stack armies that are more powerful than the starting armies of every other clan in the game. Not to mention that one of the people there at war with north of them doesn't even have an army at the start of the game

I think it was because yari wall wasn't supossed to be so op so ashigaru wouldn't be so op, but eh it's even worse with mods, I have had 21 morale ashigaru with a maxed Gen in a modded camping

maybe track motion will be better in this clip and few manual correct will be more smooth, but still good content!

Lol I know I know it was hard to figure out which clans actually survive the onslaught so I figured that the Saito become a vassal turn one for this campaign xD

Oh yeah I just had them there since they’re in usually in central Japan close to the Hattori, Asai, and Ikko. (I know they’re all over the map too).

Dunno why CA said Initial challenge is hard? Yes you have War on Two Fronts but you start off with Very Fertile soil. It is medium at worst. And all you have to do is to spam Ashigaru, Which can defeat Yari Samurai in Yari wall and can charge Archers with increased morale
