The dialogue that they’re each reciting is a sentence called a phonetic pangram. A Phonetic pangram is a sentence or phrase that contains all the letters and phonetic sounds of the alphabet, at least once. What is the trailer trying to tell us with that?

It's not often a horror game's trailer genuinely freaks me out, but the acting here is just stellar. You can read every emotion in their eyes even when they don't say anything sensible, it's like they're being tested and slowly having their mind deteriorated until all they can do is scream.

You can see at 0:45 at 0.25x speed the letter A and throughout the video the word ATAMI is formed, which is a city in Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan. When read separately, the kanji that make up the name “Shizuoka” (静岡) can be translated as “silent” (静) and “hill”

Not actually, in the first scene she has the same eyes. My theory is that they are at some sort of "body scanning room" that usually has this pattern lights and cameras. That even explains why they are saying the exactly same phrase...

So whose gonna take one for the team and try zooming in on their eyes to see what those symbols are and what they see when you hear the door open as it terrifies them. Kojima knows his fanbase all too well and knows that making ominous teasers and trailers like this with little details you can spot that hint at more of the game entices people to deep dive and discover what they can. Man might make some of the most weird and out of the box thinking video games but he's also a genius of game design istg.

Pretty sure what you see in most of the pictures is just the lighting from the motion capture room, probably an HDR panorama used to generate the reflections but the door opening on the last one was a nice touch.

I'm very excited to see who's all working on this!

You know, Kojima can still make the story he was planning with P.T and Silent Hills, just without the Silent Hill name. Could this be his psychological horror that never got made?

Im not 100% sure if im onto something with this. it seems the reason each monolouge is the same is because its not about whats being said, but about how its being said. Each person is acting in a different manerism, like theyre each feeling different emotions. Sophia lillis character represented happiness or (joy) in her dialouge. hunter schafers dialouge represented sadness (sorrow) and Udo kier's dialouge represented anger or (wrath).

There's hidden text in the old man's mouth for ATAMI, which when broken down into it's kanji means LITERALLY Silent Hill.

Not even a minute and bots are already commented. You can identify them coz they have pictures of butts

the trailer was a test for a new machine learning driven speech and facial animation system. The sentence they were saying ("The hungry purple dinosaur ate the kind, zingy fox, the jabbering crab, and the mad whale and started vending and quacking.") contains all the phonemones in English, which is something you would want to test a new system like this with, and they showed the models reading the same sentence with different emotional affects. Normally you'd have to voice and motion capture and then hand tweak/animate this kind of performance, but imagine if you could give an NPC dialogue lines from a script and some general emotional direction, and have something of this quality rendered out in seconds or maybe even in real time. Imagine having millions of possible NPC conversation lines instead of thousands, performance consistent with NPC physical state (injured, exhausted, sleepy, etc) or emotional state (angry, sad, happy, sarcastic, terrified, etc). Imagine localizations with spoken lines and correct facial animations in every language. The reference to Microsoft's cloud computing makes total sense if they're referring to being able to use Azure Compute for training and running the animation system. Same reason OpenAI is using Azure systems for ChatGPT, same reason Flight Simulator does it for generating their Earth map. Just taken to the next step.

Crazy trailer for a game that's gonna be 80 hours of delivering Uber Eats on a bicycle.

On 00:06 in the right corner you can see a silhouette right after the logo an then it vanishes. But to see it the bright of your screen must be at maximum. WOOOOOW

These characters are the Kind Zingy Fox, the Jabbering Crab, and the Mad whale. The monster is the Hungry Purple Dinosaur. Or a Doctor is? Maybe it’s depicting some sort of psychological experiment taking place in the story of this game. Or it means nothing (very Kojima) and is just a demonstration of the facial animation tech.

Between that and the reflection in their eyes likely being the light and camera set up used for digital capture, the game will probably be about A.I.
