Octomarble Battle

Two marble monsters grow tentacle arms by eating marbles, with the objective to defeat the other.
When a marble inside touches one of the 8 arm roots, a segment grows at the end of that arm based on the type of marble. Some marbles do not grow segments, but rather activate the octomarble's movement.
Arms will deal damage based on speed when impacting the enemy.
Segment Marbles:
Basic Segment - Simple straight segment.
Shooter Segment - Fires projectiles.
Thorny Segment - Has more health and damage.
Sucker Segment - Latches on to the enemy, draining health and healing itself.
Spike Segment - Deals very high damage based on speed.
Blade Shooter Segment - Fires a projectile that deals damage consistently while moving instead of being destroyed on impact.
Movement Marbles:
Forward - The octomarble moves toward the enemy.
Rotate - The octomarble tums.
Swing - The arm lunges toward the enemy.
Swing All - All arms lunge toward the enemy.

Watching tentacled abominations fight is oddly satisfying. Then again, I watch Hermitcraft.
new segment idea: collector, which collects the small marble when it touches.

I was just about to write this same idea. It might even make the segments further in on it's arm collect as well. If the small marbles were animated on top of the arm while being sucked in through the arm it would probably look cool and be easier to follow what's happening.
This was a very innovative concept. (Congrats on 70k subscribers!)

I could definitely see another small common marble being a little plus sign (instead of the little minus sign) that wouldn't add to an arm but instead would heal the closest damaged segment so you wouldn't have so many extremely long arms ready to be snapped off if somebody blew on them
Imagine if they could also grab and consume food with their limbs, rather than just their main body

Kinda dislike how segmented tentacles just get thrown off and cut whole tentacles with zero repercussions, maybe a node that collects those would be interesting

A new marble battle game in the style of Multiply or Release, this time with octopus instead of territory. My favorite team color is Red and thought that they will defeat the blue enemy team! 🐙

I would just point out "as usual". It is already a rule when the opponents are blue and red, that red will win, no matter how poor it looks. In my opinion, it is built into the program. I've never seen blue win over red.
I wish I could play this simulation too. Would like to see more!

Question: what dictates when the shooters and saws are fired?

the shooter monitors its speed, when it is going faster than a certain amount and then starts reducing speed, it shoots. it also checks that the angle to the enemy is less than 15 degrees or so

The sucker segment drains health when attached to an enemy, it will heal its parent damaged segments, if the whole arm if full health it will heal the player
