A Dream of a Woman sounds fantastic, and Hex has been on my radar for ages, so this has been an encouraging push to finally pick up a copy. More importantly, congrats on the birth of multiple new Rick memes (screaming into a pillow & the muffled expletive as your phone fell). Not to mention that charmingly chaotic thumbnail. 10/10

Now I'm even more intrigued to read Bewilderment lol. I'm 55th on the hold list at the library though, so might be a while.....I might break down and buy it lol

This video had been the nudge that’s pushed me over the edge - clearly the world wants me to read A Dream of a Woman! It’s going on my December TBR before it gets lost in the depths of my TBR.

I hope more people get wind of it, because from what I can tell it went pretty under the radar. It's good! (and thanks for watching)

Master and Commander is one that I keep passing in used bookstores and thinking ‘I should read that’, but I’ve been doing it for 10 years. I completely agree about finding long series intimidating and a huge time investment. I’m glad that you liked it though, even if you didn’t love it! Maybe I’ll finally give it a try next year.

If you're intrigued by it I would definitely recommend it! I did like it quite a bit. I just find long series difficult at the best of time LOL My attention span is abysmal.

There must be a word for laughing at the mention of it being a frustrating day... The way you described them, Hex and A Dream of a Woman seem quite interesting.

About O’Brian: I liked the first book much more than you, but it was the second _Post Captain_ that made me love the series. I binged the next three but then limited myself to one a year until I got to the end. Just a thought. I would encourage you to try Post Captain and if that doesn’t do it for you then you know for sure it’s not for you.

I read Master and Commander when it was first out and there were about 2 or 3 books total in the series. I did like it but I did not continue on. It seemed like a "man" book to me--I'm not sure even now why but I felt that it was a time and atmosphere where women would have a minor role if any. Don't know if that is true since I never read on, but there are so so many books I want to read that I just moved on. Haven't looked for Bewilderment yet as I was not the biggest fan of Overstory but the hype may draw me in yet. Thanks for some very interesting and insightful reviews

Lady Chatterley's Lover sounds really good. But I hated Sons and Lovers. What do. Would be interested in watching a video about the precocious child narrator!

Fully agree with your assessment of Bewilderment: the disappointment of the year for me. Its problem is not the child narrator btw, for me it's the dad who is the really nauseating one...

    1. Lol @ your thumbnail 2. Lol @ your review of Bewilderment "I'm not going to talk much about this book because I don't have a lot to say [...] Nothing about it was interesting I don't understand the hype bad book is bad"
