On topic of troopers, I'm non-American and even I understand there's something special about these guys that separates them from other LEOs. I understand they're not even paid that much? 40ish in Florida, 50ish in GA or KA, and yet there's a line to join them. I know that in Eastern states it's more a 'state police' type of job while South and West stick to classic highway patrol, enforcing the shiet out of traffic laws. If I had a chance, I'd probably try joining a highway patrol. They get all kinds of people on these long American roads.

Man I love your replies! To discuss this, Troopers in America hold their selves to a higher standard of policing from the few that I conversate with from time to time. You are accurate. In the south, they stick to the highways but they do have rights over the entire state if needed. In the west and in the eastern part of the states are more of the police states. Just my information that I have.
