This is one of those amazing prayer songs that at the end you must ask yourself, "Do I really want God to do what I just asked? Take me out of my comfort zone? Help me understand how to trust completely when tragedy or uncertainty strikes?" Kind of scary. Takes a beautiful voice to sing it, but it takes a tremendously strong faith to mean it.

to everyone who's saying "they giving no credit to God and all", take a breather and step back ma dude. You missing the point. Did you read the title? Its called the 'STORY BEHIND Oceans'. God is glorified across the earth with this song. So regardless whether they mentioning Him or not, it was written with/through/about/for HIM!!!HE IS THE SONG!

You kidding me? Their music and lyrics are always giving credit to God and Divine. And I must say their music has the power to help change the world for the Better, its beyond amazing in that way, stirring up hearts! I could hear Oceans every day! and I get cold chills of goodness every time!

This song played over and over again when I got really sick. I showed mom, and she said this song will heal you. I then had heart failure. I listened to this song for 2 weeks in the hospital. I survived. God was with me the whole time. I had to let go, and let him heal me.

it makes me cry when I hear this song because I know that God is with me in the troubled times in my life. God I love you and I will surrender myself everyday. thank you for loving me

I sang this song for my graduation. It was hard. I was pregnant at that time but didn't understand it then. My daughter was born in January and died 24 hours after. For her funeral I felt led to sing this. Understanding came then and there. I claim this song for my now season and funny enough, I am asked to sing this for every event that I go to. I am asking for permission to release this song for my album when God releases me please. I would be grateful.

I don't understand the thumbs down. We are to lift each other up. Stop judging people! Jesus spoke with love and compassion at the "worst" of them. Be more like Him please.. our church needs to be reunited.

This song speaks to me in more ways than you can ever could imagine

I was talking to one of my friends a while ago and something pushed me to say "I feel like I am drowning, and there's no land in sight." Three days later I came to my school's Campus Movement meeting where we worshiped together and sang this song. It was in that moment that I knew that The Lord was testing me, He was letting me drown so that I may find that place where my trust in God is unrestricted. Jesus was giving me an opportunity to ask for help, to surrender to His will, He was giving me a chance to walk on the water that I had once been drowning in. I have given myself to God entirely and I will forever trust in The Lord, for He is mine. And I am His.

This song is annoited. Because here in Virginia, at our recent youth spring retreat. I asked my friends who were doing worship to play this song and when they did. The Spirit fell and every heart was breaking because God decided to move. Absolutely amazing.

3 years ago I left everything behind to go serve God on a ship in Africa. Just when I arrived we went on a sail and we had 3 days of rough weather, storm and high waves. The ship got tossed around like crazy. In all this the song Oceans became so alive for me. It was exactly the situation I found myself in. It reminded me of God's provision especially in times I walk in faith and give all control of my life into his hands. Thank you for writing this song!

I love this song and its message. I love the performances as well. What I am sad about is that the inspiration of the Holy Spirit isn't mentioned. Hillsong, I love what you do, but you should have given God a mention. He is what its all about. He is why you are where you are. Please make another behind the scenes vid and give God the glory. Be proud of Him.

Clearly these guys really didn't have much of a clue about the Power of this song. It brings me to tears in its beauty and relevance. I too noticed that God wasn't mentioned, but there is so much Godly fruit in 'Oceans - Where feet may fail.'
