I love OCMD sooo much. One time some guy tried to kidnap me when i was a preteen lmao. Then you have the semi-local high schoolers acting really trashy at the boardwalk at night, but other than that this place is amazing. I always said it was my favorite place on Earth. Amazing food, beautiful environment, and as a kid I met other kids from different states which was magical for me because my family never really took trips elsewhere. For a small town kid it’s really amazing being able to meet so many other kids in such a beautiful, fun environment. I’m visiting Taiwan soon, and I’m really anxious to see if OCMD remains my favorite place on Earth afterwards. I get the feeling it will!

Cant wait to lay on the beach with my toes in the sand

Too crowded during peak months. Too many idiots smoking on the beach and playing loud music when most others are trying to relax. I go down for the golf in the summer which usually isn't too bad.

Police can't enforce the way they should. It's going to be another disaster this season. I pray not but let's be REAL.

Horrible place. In the 70 and 80s was great. It was nice then. Very sad

Yeah times have changed. You can tell that in some areas after sunset it could be a bit dangerous, but with a nice group of friends in the daylight you may still have some fun by the beach.

I still take my kids there like my parents took me when I was a kid and we have a great time. The beach is still gorgeous, the boardwalk is always fun to stroll, play at the arcades, ride the famous Haunted House dark ride, grab Thrashers, caramel corn, play games just like we did in the 70-90s. And there are still excellent places to have a meal.
