Man oh man I have not been to Myrtle since early 2000’s.. use to go every summer as a kid and teenager.mid 80”s & 90’s.. So sad that your kids, kids today will never experience what the “Pavilion” was like. Only 3 things I even recognize from your video is the “gay dolphin”, “Peaches Corner” and of course “Ripleys” on the corner. I can remember some of the rides from the old pavilion. The log flume ride use to drop right across the corner street from Ripleys. The dark ride, I think it was called haunted hotel or Inn. It had a giant skull on top of it. Had a swinging or spinning cloud / rainbow near the entrance. They use to have sand castle building competitions and kite flying competitions off the boardwalk beside the “Bowery” (Alabama was formed).. Wow I’m just reminiscing and rambling. I can remember all the top music that played over and over and over from all the shops and cars cruising the strip. Tone Loc wild thing, mc hammer can’t touch this and everybody wearing hammer pants, Tevin Campbell Round and Round.. lol.. good memories, thanks for sharing..
