Occupational Therapy Ring Toss Activity

Jennifer Zeitler MS, OTR/L, CBIS is having her patient play a ring toss activity while standing addressing reaction speed, motor planning, hand dexterity, and standing tolerance. Ring toss helps children, adults and seniors to develop and improve coordination skills. Tossing games are challenging both physically and mentally as it requires concentration and body control to be able to make the distance and throw the rings with precision. Ring toss can be graded up and down by having the patient match the colored rings to the cone, adding more/fewer cones, and varying cone placement.
