I'm new here and enjoying a lot this beginners' series. Thanks! Just one question: what should I do to go back to Obsidian's original theme? Again: thank you a lot! Your vids was the reason I started testing Obsidian. I just found these sw PKS. Initially I thought about starting with Roam Research, but today there is no free version. Roam seemed to me to have an intuitive and interesting way of working. Searching for options to Roam I found Obsidian, Remote and many others. RemNote seems to be a great tool, but it seemed a little complicated to use. I am not familiar with flashcards for instance, so watching your vids I decided to start with obsidian. Cheers from Sao Paulo, Brazil.

Hi, probably the wrong place to ask but I'm here already, so. I have been using the Cybertron theme for obsidian, which I found amazing. The only qualm I have with it is that it cuts embedded links at a fixed point (which I think it's stock with obsidian) but doesn't allow you to scroll through it (Which the base theme allows). I know I can edit the CSS of the theme to personalise it, but I don't know CSS so I can't figure out where to edit to add the feature back. Could you please point me to it? Thanks.

By "Amethyst" do you mean "Obsidian" lol! I guess you would have to help out the awesome developers with a $25 "Catalyst" payment: obsidian.md/pricing ..... Or you can just wait until it's released publicly.

I didn’t know they were yours. I’m currently using your theme and starter I think. I like the look but the windows get stuck sometimes horizontal. The colours for sizes I reall like as a benifit.

How do they get stuck exactly? The theme has vertical panes that you can scroll horizontally. Hot tip: hold shift while using the mouse scroll wheel.

Oh cool. That makes sense. Maybe I'll have to re-consider the checkboxes. Feel free to share your CSS checkbox settings. Maybe we can make it the default for the Cybertron theme (no promises).

Hi! I love the style and the colours of Cybertron. Keep up the good work! I want to change one minor thing: I want to set the background of ==marked== text (with two pair of equal signs) to yellow as default. I tried it with a Snippet, but I am not a CSS pro, so my solution didn't work: mark { background-color: yellow } Can you please tell me how to solve this?

Inside your Obsidian folder is a file called Obsidian.css By editing that, you can edit how your theme looks. That's a whole 'nother thing though, not for beginners!

Hi Anthony - You can use a lot more than text within it. You can add any of those files listed to your vault (or link to an external link). If you're playing them locally and want to preview rather than link to them, put an exclamation mark before the link like ![[this]]

  • @linkingyourthinking

Hi George, if you're trying to make all of Obsidian larger, you can try cmd and the + key if. you're on Obsidian on a Mac (or ctrl and the + key if you're on Windows) which will enlarge not just the text but the toolbars as well. If it gets too big, you can zoom back by using cmd and the - key instead (or ctrl instead of cmd if you're on Windows).I hope that helps!
