Superb Simon. I enjoy every second of it 👌
I built mine some 20 years ago, by modifying a 11x14 ft Arrow steel shed, to have a roll off roof like yours, for my 17.5" f/4.5 fork mount (all home made, with computer drive controls). I was near the Gulf Coast in Alabama, and had to put some strong tie-downs to keep the roof in place. The roof was quite light, and I could lift it right off by myself, despite it being all steel. Survived a CAT-3 hurricane.

Wow, your obsey sounds like a great build! Especially withstanding a cat 3 hurricane! Thanks so much for watching 🤣 Clear skies!
Great job Simon, love the sliding roof, nice to see one that’s not flat roof too. Tidy.

Hi Simone how are you. David from Australia. I have been watching you for a while & building my rig similar except I have a 10 inch Newtonian. Would you happen to know where I may obtain a multie power supply 12 volts for all the devices ,camera, mount drive dew heaters etc. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Keep the good vids comming Love it

Hi David Thanks for watching mate! The best power supply for all your gear would be the Pegasus Power Box Advance! I’ve got 2 and they power everything including 2 dew heaters! UK price is approximately £260.00. Hope that helps mate👍 Clear skies!

I've been watching all your videos once again as I'm starting a basic outline for building mine so... Perfect time to see this summary! May I ask you what dimensions has your shed and pier? Is it offset to the shed center, isn't it? It would help a lot. Anyway, thaks a lot and keep pushing, love your channel :)

Hey thanks Aleixandrus! Thats much appreciated! My observatory is 7 x 8 feet internally and yes the pier is off centre in one direction only! It’s further away from the door where I come in! Hope you get on ok with your build, if you get any questions, or I can help, please ask! Thanks for watching and clear skies!

@@SimonsAstro Thanks a lot very much appreciated. I'm planning a bit more reduced shed, 6.5x6.5ft or similar. Need to do a lot of thinking yet so probably your video stats will go up a bit :) Is there a way I can get in touch with you or is this comment section just fine?
