+Spirit Crusher Well there does tend to be some sounds characteristic of it, though I agree with you. Tends to be a mix of black/death and thrash and a dirty production. Sometimes some doom as well.

Im come to the conclusion that Oscurity belongs to the first wave of Death Metal, along with Possessed, Necrophagia and Master, not because it has lyrics or satanic background means that it is Black metal, Mercyful and Deicide worship satan and it is not black metal ... although the first wave of black metal has not yet been defined correctly I think that Oscurity does not belong to the first wave of black metal, it lacks several elements that maybe we can assign it more to a Death / Thrash mix but well, everyone has a different perspective, in my channel I have a small compilation of the first wave of black metal, if you like you can review it and leave your opinion ... it is very good and I think it will help you identify those elements that I mention. @@szchizophrenia5046 Possessed ain't death metal, neither are Master. First Wave Black was defined and perfected by Bathory. As for Obscurity, this is first wave Death Metal. People might think that this is death/thrash because it doesn't have the typical dm sound that we know like CC, but this is death metal
