In some way this type of content makes me sad, like I Really enjoy BFN but the amount of scrapped content is just Depressing, this game had soooooo much more potential that sadly wasn't used to its fullest. These upgrades would bring sooo much more to this game but sadly they are just going to stay as concepts and scraps since this game is LIKE SUUUUUPER DEAD. For some corrections over things I have gripes with: 1st There was an upgrade out there that would've increased Corn's Husk Hop from 24 to 150 ammo and the effects are that you would stay in the air for awhile. 2nd The vinyl records legendary upgrade for Peashooter was meant to be paired with the 2 legendary costumes of june's Garden Party prize map and not the Disco Pea costumes since it was meant for Rux. Lastly Bombing Run is a regular Rocket Ride upgrade and by it's description and gameplay, it's basically the Free Ride upgrade paired with today's Rocket Ride while also adding homing on top of that. Bombing Run was seen in game between late january 2020 and march 2020 in the upgrade menu at the bottom as a locked upgrade, I suspect that it was simply for testing purposes as we got the movement part of the upgrade as standard before the game's end.

The disco costumes makes way more sense for this upgrade, it 100% WAS made for the upgarde, bu5 changed later on

Sure it makes sense but Disco Pea was in the game since Rux was open back in december 2019 and was shown in a Live from PopCap in the shop but never came to the public, instead they tried to connect the upgrade to the futuristic costumes since shooting vinyls is kinda futuristic (I guess?). The rule is that all legendary upgrades released in the prize map will go along with it's 2 legendary costumes.

man, hearing Citron's scrapped legendary upgrade tilts me since his rapidfire shotgun offputs me in comparison to the other characters' primaries in general

opinion: everythings mid expect the oak and acorn upgrades (they would probably go together by default) engies double time upgrade, the weird confidence mechanic, and citrons gw2 primamry upgrade

These upgrades are some of the most disappointing things I’ve seen in a while. Not because they’re bad, but because it has been shown that they were well near completion and BFN’s content cut happened wayyyy too soon.

Imho calling BFN the black sheep of the PvZ Shooter trilogy is the same thing as calling Ratchet Deadlocked the black sheep of the Ratchet & Clank series. Both games changed some core mechanics which made the game more easier to develop while adding to the player's customization options and finetuning of how their game experience will go. I genuinely can't see the problem.

I like the idea of making a video talking about unused upgrades but man, there's more info about some of them c'mon, at least talk about them and how you feels bout such upgrade and Bombing Run is an upgrade for Rocket ride which was unintentionally added to the game at some point during Birthdayz

I would have put more time into discussing the upgrades, but I didn’t really want to make this video any longer than it needed to be. As for Bombing Run, someone else commented that it was also briefly visible during January to March? Not really sure what’s up with it, but in any case, I should have tried to look more into it before I finished up the video, time is just what limited me

It's sad to see how much work was put into post-release content, only for it to be cancelled because the game wasn't doing well... But it would still be better if the game had variants instead of upgrades

I like playing foot soldier because I like the sticky upgrade, and watching plants struggle to try and attack you. I also have the one that makes the zpg launch enemies. I just like playing him because he's funny, and using his primary just feels... good for some reason.

I think upgraded in bfn are so fun to optimize and if there were variants for characters it could make Less useful upgrades optimal for that variant. so many cool things BFN could have been😭😭😭

Yeah, they should’ve made the costumes atleast different variants. It feels like an even more downgraded GW1 with its characters but is more fleshed out with story mode.

BFN wasn't designed around variants. Legendary upgrades are just better designed for the game rather than variants.
