This is one of the most in depth and comprehensive tutorials I've seen for making your own overlays. THANK YOU. Stream Elements and Owned Pro plugins made my OBS impossible to work with after the OBS v29 update a few days ago and after having to delete all associated files and un/reinstall OBS, starting from scratch has me doubting any plug in ever again.

obviously a great way to start, would be interesting to see what could be done with some plugins as well, like some of the most popular ones like move and streamfx. As I made my overlay all in OBS with the use of extra plugins to make my alerts etc.

Inkscape, a free vector editor can make squares and rectangles with rounded corners that can be exported as transparent PNG files that allow you to use them in OBS. I used it to create the foreground logo in my video intro file. I haven't used the intro yet but I now have it when I do.

I just wanted to know, the twitch data stuff like subscribers and followers, or live chat can't be added directly to OBS via some code, script (not plugin!) or anything like that, right? Only through browser sources?

i have a few Questions A. Why is the footage sped up?? its only a 14 min even in half speed i had to watch it 4 a 5 times before i knew you added a txt GDi+ B. The Font you used isn't a standard font in OBS, So tell us where to get it and how to install it. I mean Its a T U T O R I A L right?

Watch an OBS basic tutorial before watching "how to make an animated overlay" because I assumed this isn't your first time opening the app. I also didn't tell you to turn on your computer or how to install obs. Luckily for you, I have some of those basic tutorials on my channel. There's only one single way to add anything to a scene so simply looking at your screen after clicking the + you would notice the only source with the word "Text" in it, very intuitive for most people. The footage is sped up because it took 58 mins of painfully looking through google images to find suitable images and trying out hundreds of fonts, very slowly stretching and cropping sources, not exactly something you'd want to sit trough. And lastly, this video shows you a concept, the goal is to spark your own creativity, pick your own colors, choose your own font, that's why I don't share the font. Time to put the "Creator" in "Content creator". Hopefully that clarifies everything.
