OBS Solutions Offroad Eddie Bronco is DONE!

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

We just finished up our 1994 Ford Bronco project we like to call "Offroad Eddie"! We picked this bone-stock Bronco up a few months back and set to work to create the ultimate off-road rig for here in the beautiful Pacific Northwest. We teamed up with Desolate Motorsports and installed their 6" Suspension System that included cut and turned Dana 44 TTB Beams up front, Deaver springs all-around, Bilstein shocks, and heavy duty radius arms. We also installed their truss for the 8.8 rear axle, rear sway bar setup, fuel tank skid plate, rear bumper and quick-disconnect steering wheel setup. We kept the drivetrain mostly stock, the 351W was removed for some maintenance and mild upgrades as well as service work on the E4OD transmission. Under the hood we also whipped up a mounting plate for our ARB Air compressor...be on the look-out for this product soon! We regeared the axles to 4.56 and installed lcokers on both ends with parts from the folks at East Coast Gear Supply. We picked-up a set of 17x10 KMC Machete Beadlocks and had them stripped, sanded and polished by McVeys Mobil Polishing and then wrapped them in 35x12.50 Falken Wildpeak MT tires. Did you notice the center caps? We had custom adapters machined to allow us to use the original Ford center caps on the KMC wheels, keeping some OG style in the mix. Wild Horses Broncos supplied the DIY front bumper, we filled it with a Warn VR 12k winch and topped it with a pair of KC LED Daylighters. Most of the original interior was in great shape when we bought the Bronco. We added a new carpet kit from ACC and sent the front buckets out to ENOS Upholstery for some custom rehab work. Matt and his team installed custom stitched leather covers and added seat heaters for us to make things a bit more comfy in the cockpit. We also added a bunch of our own OBS Solutions products to this project. You can find our Aluminum Sill and Scuff Plates in the door jams, our Aluminum Tailgate Panel with color-matched stripe, rear-defrost relocation bracket, and custom switch mounts inside the center console.
We're stoked on how this project turned out, it drives incredible, sounds awesome and you can't miss those unique Eddie Bauer colors when we go cruising by. Now its time to put on some miles and adventures with this rad Bronco! Where would you take it?
Thanks to Desolate Motorsports, Warn Industries, Complete Performance, McVeys Mobile Polishing, East Coast Gear, KMC Wheels, Falken Tires, Crabtree Automotive, Wild Horses Bronco's and our amazing team for helping put this rig together!

It works well for our intents and purposes. Swing steering is a great upgrade that we may look at in the future, but for now, we're good with it.

That Stock steering is plenty strong enough unless you are really going to thrash it hard in some rocks. Ive got a 6 inch lift on mine and all i did was flip the tie rods to the top of the knuckle to get better geometry.

The rear bumper has a kick out tube that the spare sets on to help carry the weight. So far, no problems.
