Instead of using a shader for the blending, you can right click the source and select blending mode

Whoah, now I can do some analysis on sports with this tip. THANKS, you're AWESOME!
Awesome! I will give this a try. Thank you
Dude that's awesome!
Wonderful, thank you!
I was thinking about this as I was watching the content creator video and had it figured out in my mind for the capturing it but not the shader filter part. Awesome 🎉

What and weird and creepy way to say "Thank you".
thx gael
Thanks! Really great solution with lot of potential
I was like this is cool, then you added animation to it and I fell off my chair.
The #1 🙌
Ideally, if it could be used with a drawing tablet (ie, a wacom Intuos) , over white canvas (or beige, etc) and black ink (if the blend could be "darken" instead of "add", "overlay", "lighten" or "multiply") then anything darker than white will be seen just like in a normal canvas. So you could use black or any color over such canvas. Would be really interesting if it could respond to pressure sensitivity.... and I think it can, as it is just replicating what happens on your desktop. So, in theory it could work for an artist (like me, hehe) to paint something realistic "besides my face" while I stream. Which could be quite an spectacle for the audience. All speaking in theory and randomly as I have yet no idea about OBS, streaming, how all that works, or etc. Just experienced in painting, graphic works of any kind (2D, 3D, etc). But I think such possibility has even $$$ potential.

OBS has actual blend modes and you can use Darken last I checked. Also if you do anything in 3d, things like TwiWorks with Unreal Engine allows for some pretty crazy stuff
Had my Nokia brick phone ready to start drawing on streams until the 28 second mark >.
I like that but I am waiting for best plugin for obs updated version or you say part 4 or 5
Was your camera budget-mounted on this video?

What is the value to using a shader filter to accomplish an Add blending mode when there is already native blending modes, including Add on all sources? Guenienly curious?

Nothing, with the exception of blending modes not already included in OBS like Overlay for example... Not many people know OBS has blending modes. I didn't even know that till like a month ago lol. So it's possible he doesn't know either? I could be wrong though... Also normally Shader filters are a little more CPU intensive I believe. So it's not the best way imo. But maybe there some advantages depending how OBS handles it's own blending modes

@@Gael_Level reasonable lol, there's always some other random small stuff present in OBS thats easy to forget I feel
Hey I know this doesn't pertain to the video but every time I use Streamerbot my OBS crashes do you have any idea why that is?

Join their discord and see if they can help
How can we do this so that we can see what we're going to draw upon at the same time? with a tablet or drawing pad connected to the computer. Is it even possible? That way we're not drawing random circles, praying that they line up. But we can actually see what we're going to draw on

Find any software that allows you to make live notes. Won't work with a wireless tablet tho

@@Gael_Level Just a thought what about using two programs for example OBS for streaming and streaming lab for annotations video display preview on a drawing pad
First
Wait... With vdo ninja anybody can draw on my stream

Not really. Unless they all send you their broadcast link and you add it to obs 1 by 1
