This is my review of the OBO ROBO PLUS KICKERS. As many of you know I really love the OBO design and style of goalkeeper equipment. From vibrant colours to high quality product, OBO ticks all the boxes for me as a keeper. They've released the new iteration of their kickers earlier this year and I was lucky enough to get my hands on a pair. Hi, I’ve been using the old style Robos for around 5 years now and time for some new ones, I’ve started to find the on my left kicker the front strap slips and goes over my foot after I charge out, do you think that this could be sorted with the plus kickers with their new internal design to feet your feet better? Cheers Jack!

hey Alex Great video, is there a reason to why you have changed your stick from the Panthera to the straight as? I have also got the ROBO plus kickers and I love them.

sick dude, btw i am having issues with the obo high rebound left hand protector because there is like a tongue coming out of it and that blocks me trying to move my hands/glove do you have any tips?

I have the same hand protector, I believe the tongue is to support your wrist so that when a hard shot comes in your wrist doesn't bend back. It took some getting used to but I ultimately prefer it in than out. My teammate at Brighton doesn't like it and removed it but thats due to personal opinion.

Hi witty, my obo hobo's aren't that comfortable around the gooch area. What would you recommend for gooch pads?

Have thy to be made up when purchased eg straighten the tongue like the yahoo set
I just wanted to make sure that there is extra Toe protection ? Is that due to the way kickers fit and having extra padding?

The users feet fit in closer to the inside of the kicker meaning there is less of a chance that the ball could strike the foot. They've added additional padding as-well

Thats good because I found with the original robo kickers that your toes can hurt/sting when saving a shot. It can be painful especially when the kickers get old. Just out of curiosity, how often do you replace your kickers ? I start to feel the ‘sting’ after they have been used for 1 year.

You'll need to ask the club to at least pay for some of your new kit. Find issues with your current kit and tell them it's affecting your game

Thanks again, depending on your budget I'd either suggest looking for second hand items on eBay or looking for sales on sites like CricketHockey or Barrington Sports. I use Verbunt Hockey to get all my new kit as I love their range of kit.
