Fallout 4 was a might success and loved by many. 76 was the only blemish but it has constantly had support and has garnered a big fanbase, starfield is ambitious as all heck. They tried some things and it didnt work but other things did. They plan five years of support for starfield. Thats not really indicators of half ass

Yeah, if that remaster leak was legit, I don't even care. I don't trust any studio to do a good job. I won't play anything except Skyblivion.

I love that Skyblivion aims not only to put Oblivion into Skyrim, but also to *improve* upon it. I'm so excited for the upgraded dungeons and bossfights!

A big studio can't afford to spend too much time on any one thing as they need to make a profit to keep the studio running. Oblivion was damn impressive for when it came out and that shouldn't be dismissed just because a passionate modding team decades later is outdoing them.

Nowadays studios can work up to 10 years on one project, but it doesn't guarantee it's quality, attention to details, etc. But what Skyoblivion team is doing different - they are doing it not because of money but because of passion. They are very open and in every video I can see how they love this game, this world and want to make it even better. When studio don't have a passion but want only money - we get some generic battle royal/extraction/pvpve/generic-billiion-hours-open-world shit. But if they love and know what they want to create - we get Baldurs Gate 3, Elden Ring, RDR 2. Can't wait to see the final result and have a feeling that it may be much better that remaster Bethesda will create

Holy crap... if you guys can keep the quality of the dungeons as high as the one you showcased, throughout the whole game? Hooooo... I think this might actually wind up being akin to a AA or AAA release. That is not just a lame AAA Tier expirience you get from developers and publishers these days! That is S Tier! That looks like it can hold itself up against a Witcher III and maybe surpas it. If this is representive of the entire mod. Considering how many years Witcher III did win the community voted Game of the Year awards that I am aware of, that is no smal feat!

My dear late Dad used to play a game on his old green screen Amstrad PCW called Fairlight. You wandered around a castle smashing pots and killing demons, it was so primitive but way ahead of its time. Oh how he would have loved this! I can't wait, Oblivion is still my favourite game and I still play it at 65, but I take after my Dad 😁

I am still surprised that Bethesda didn't just hire all of you and/or buy Skyblivion from you. If they were smart they would have made you part of an Oblivion remaster team, combined some of their people to fill in the gaps, and had all this done by now with huge profits for everyone involved. I would pay AAA price for a chance to play Oblivion in a more graphically pleasing way. How could Beth not know that I am not alone in that.

The only art capitalism is conducive to making is anti-capitalist art. Games industry is rotten to the core. In 2014 I took out a lot of debt to undertake a game art course at AIE, they provided us with no resources and expected us to do the majority of coursework as homework, which since we were being taught the industry standard we were expected to own computers that could render to the industry standard. My teacher was a disgraced industry professional whose biggest claim to fame was working as an asset artist on the Disney Cars 2 game and he f*cking hated my guts from day 1 because for our 1st character design assignment I pitched an idea for a fantasy race called "hydrakin" Essentially a tribal dynasty of lizard people where the more heads you were born with determined your status in the society and because I wanted to spend my time making their warchief "svis-vas-saal" who had 3 heads (one syllable for each head in their cultural naming conventions) my idea was completely shut down because "it is too hard to design something with 3 heads" and he told me he would deliberately fail me if I did it so I was forced to design one of the serf class from the race with only 1 head which was just your run of the mill lizardman in some tribal clothing. I still "owe" those criminals 40 grand. Good art comes from passion, the industry can so rarely provide people with a means to create what they are passionate about because it is populated with capitalists, who are interested in imaginary money not real art.

If it wasn't for the bazillion mods Skyrim has it would be probably a forgotten game at this point and Starfield was a total ¨meh¨ game, also the voice acting in the OG Oblivion was already lame by itself I don't think these guys can make it worse, and sure, I can agree Oblivion has not the most memorable questline but again there can be mods for that. I know there is an official ¨remake¨ in the works but considering Bethesda will stick to their old and not trustworthy at all Creation Engine I won't be surprised when it arrives ridden with bugs and looking similar to this but at a full game pricetag like they always do so that's why I can be hyped about some random guys teaching a AAA developer how to remaster their own game before they come with something worse on their own, also it will be free so nobody will be pissed if it ends up failing.

this looks amazing and I love the time and effort you put into it, if only game companies tried to do or support more projects like this.

Absolutely amazing again, guys! The amount of love and respect for the series oozes from these videos. You might not remake some stuff 1 on 1 but the attention to detail and immersiveness is beyond amazing, actually improving onto what was built.

I remember the quest, because the witch told me to come back in a few hours but it was daylight and I'd progressed so much in vampirism that stepping outside meant dying (and I couldn't stay inside because she'd get aggressive as I was trespassing). Had to reload a previous save to sort that mess, ah the memories

My jaw is constantly dropped during each and every one of these videos. Bethesda shouldn't even bother with their own remaster, just pay you all for this and release it officially. Seriously, well done!

If you liked playing Skyrim or similar open world RPGs definitily get PC. Setting aside some flaws personally for me Oblivion is better game that Skyrim. Better quests, story and better level design.
