I think scaramouche or wanderer knew what death was. You can tell by this quote "Powerless before his mortality" meaning the child possibly promised to wanderer that they'd stay together forever. But, the child died instead of staying with wanderer forever making him break the promise. I didn't even notice this til I watched the scene a 8 or more time 🥲

I always saw that line as "present" scaramouches view of what happened to the kid, whilst the line "he broke his promise to me" was past scara, how he didn't understand how the child physically could do nothing against his death. So, I just made that the brothers interpretation as well😅😅 Honestly, I spend my time analysing other characters like diluc or kaveh than scara unfortunately, so I kept having to think about it when making the video
