    There has been an increase of dieting companies and I can actually safely say that people are changing. Sure I see fat people here an there but SO many people are getting thin. But the issue is there are still fatty restaurants. Like in my stupid school sure it has a healthy section but it serves dominos pizza. But I've got to say this, as a Kuwaiti there is no doubt there is fat people but at the same there has been a MAJOR improvement to what I've seen. People are actually working out.

    Its not the heat... It's the fact that we are restricted in terms of activities by stupid ideologies. No beaches, NO swimming pools, No clubs.. etc. Also, I blame the laziness that has dominated the majority in this country. "BEEP BEEP BAQALA! I need cigs!"Dejavu anyone?

    How different you are from Morocco. My wife is Moroccan and everyone there eats very healthy. Olive oil in every dish. Olive oil has many health benefits. Also fresh organic chicken, and lamb and fish. Not much fried stuff. Lots of mint tea, oranges, watermelon, prunes, potatoes, etc also they walk alot, my wife is from a mountain town of Chefchaouen and theres alot of incline! I am Bangladeshi-American and even i did not have stamina like my wife. These gulf arabs need to start getting educated on food and health.

    Sad but true. People resort to the easy way out to solve this problem. They do bypass surgeries and stapling the stomach easily without hesitation or any fear of complications that could result from such major abdominal surgeries. People get bored easily here so when they join a certain gym (and gym subscriptions are very expensive here! Especially female gyms and mixed male female gyms) or hire a certain trainer; they'd be fed up and they'd quit within a very short period of time. Our lifestyle is based on food; you go to the movies you have to eat, you go to the mall it's cus u wanna shop and eat, you meet with friends for something to eat, and you crave food all the time.. it's like food is for comfort alone and not to satisfy hunger or provide nutrients essential for your body. I wish if our government would ban those surgeries or make them so expensive so that people would realize that movement and sensible diets are the only two ways known to mankind that can get you to a healthy weight hence a long life free from diseases. Of course not all people in Kuwait are obese but the majority have a BMI of 25 and more.

  • @juventina

    It's probably the metabolism. If you move less you store more plus it's the food choices. Our food is full of carbs. Rice is very important in our diet

  • @juventina

    @juventina

    None taken; I'm not fat thank God :) well; did you see the portions they eat vs the amount of work they do. In Kuwait it's impossible to walk to school or the supermarket or anywhere specially in the summer where temperatures reach 55 deg C !! We are literally being fried! And it's true food is an addiction. And if you must know we have this trend of food businesses on instagram (very lucrative btw) where ppl bake goods and cook varoius dishes to sell them and the pics add to the addiction problem. But honestly, ppl here and in the middle east in general need to have more knowledge about the benefits of healthy food. Some ppl here think diet coke is healthy and that green tea helps u lose weight if u had a banquet for a meal. The mindset should change; the goals should change, the surgeries should be banned unless u were born with genes that make u fat even when ur not eating much that sort of thing..

  • @juventina

    @juventina

    10 жыл бұрын

    And I did mention that ppl here are no longer eating to satisfy hunger or have a healthy heart and body; it's more of comfort food which is a form of addiction; you get happy eating! So you keep eating more. And the mexicans are definitely gonna be fat because of all the burritos casadillas pork corn fat sweets chillies and all the drinking which is loaded with tons of sugars! And I really think that it depends on ur lifestyle because even though some ppl are born with great genes that ensures they have a great metabolism; others are not. And even those with good genes tend to become fat as they age if they don't watch what they're eating because their cells and metabolism age with them so the efficiency is less

    This is extremely exaggerated with all do respect! That doesn't exactly represent my country.. in fact there is a huge movement towards organic, healthy and even vegan lifestyles.. lots of running groups, activities, Whole Foods stores and healthy restaurants are on the rise.. I don't get why this video and the people hosted in it exaggerate so much.. it's a lifestyle and life choice.. you are what you eat.. you made the choice.. do not blame others or the country your in... its not easy to have self control or restraint but we all do our best.. and excuse me! "We don't need to work so we got fatter" most of us Kuwaitis do work for a living and need it to survive :).
