I think it’s important to normalize and talk about infertility, because the more we are able to, the less lost we can all feel, and people who have had the good fortune to have not gone through it can better support those who are. I dealt with this with my husband for 7 years and we had felt so alone in the process. I really appreciate that you are being so open about this.

I'm an IVF mama, needed IVF to get my first beautiful baby and I want you to know that as someone who had primary infertility, your secondary infertility doesn't matter any less. That desire to have a baby, whether it be a first or a second is so all consuming and soul tearing and that doesn't change based on when your infertility happens. Its not any less valid because you already have a sweet girl. I'm wishing you guys all the hope and love and success in your IVF process. I hope you have all the support you need! 💕🤗

I don’t normally comment on any videos but I have to say your story hits home with me 💕 My husband and I have secondary infertility (male factor as well) and after many losses trying with ovulation facilitation, and ultimately doing IVF, I am expecting our second child with our only viable embryo. While we aren’t a family of 4 yet, I completely empathize with the process and struggles along the way. Sending only positive vibes to you both in growing your family.

I think as a society we need to remove the stigma and shame around infertility and the only way to do that is for people to courageously share their stories. I think infertility is much more common than people think. Thank you for being open and sharing your experience and knowledge. I love how at every step, your story is so relatable to normal people. If this isn’t too personal, would you mind explaining why you chose IVF over IUI?

My husband and I had been TTC for 3 years when his general doctor suggested getting his levels tested. He was told his testosterone levels were a bit low and the doctor put him on a cycle of Clomid for 90 days. He was retested after the 90 days and his levels had doubled. Then, three months after the cycle ended, I had a positive pregnancy test! I am currently 22 weeks! 🙏 Just putting that out there in case it may help someone! I personally had not heard of men taking Clomid. 🤷🏼‍♀️ Thank you both for sharing your journey. I stumbled upon your channel a couple months ago and your videos have been so helpful!

I’m 36 weeks pregnant after doing 3 rounds of IVF. We were initially diagnosed with male factor, then after 2 failed FETs did an ERA and found bacteria in my lining. Did 2 weeks of oral antibiotics and the next FET was a success! IVF was the hardest thing I’ve ever done, both physically and emotionally, but it sounds like you have the best team around you! My tip for the IM progesterone is to buy some lidocaine spray and use that and an ice pack for 3-5 minutes before the injection. Makes it WAY more tolerable! Good luck!!

I have stage 4 endometriosis, had Excision surgery in 2019, & a hellacious recovery. I did IVF to conceive mine & my wife’s daughter. I remember that first injection like it was yesterday. I was SO NERVOUS! My hands were trembling & I reread the instructions like 5 times I spent 30 min the 1st time. IVF feels so medical, calculated, vulnerable…. I tried to bring some warmth into the process by taking time to stretch, meditate, spend time outside every day, go on walks, & do anything to relax as much as possible. I really think it helped a lot. I’m rooting for you guys! Do not feel guilty! ❤️

So massively impressed with your acknowledgement of your own privilege to access treatment and a shout-out that secondary infertility can be challenging for people who are experiencing primary infertility to deal with as a subject. I stumbled across your channel while we were still trying to get pregnant naturally and admittedly I was a little jealous of you becoming pregnant after only three months of trying. I still enjoyed watching your videos, as they are very informative and you are such a lovely couple. Now we are starting IVF and I literally did my first injection last night around the time you uploaded this video. Seeing a medical professional being just as hesitant with the needle as I was, is kind of a relief ;) Thank you so much for sharing your story and talking about all the different feelings you went through. Fingers crossed for you and everyone else currently on this journey.

I was not prepared to feel what I am feeling watching this video. I have unexplainable POV diagnosed at 34. For 10 years we tried everything to get pregnant until we went down the donor route and are now blessed with a son who just turned one. We have also started laying down the foundation for transfer #2 and seeing you prepare for the shot took me back to that moment when I started mine. Its a roller coaster of emotions and even though we may have loving partners, its a lonely one at times. I wish you the best and look forward to your update.

Best of luck, so interesting coming from an RE. I did 5 rounds of IVF. It’s really hard but you will have such an amazing perspective with patients after experiencing it.

I started watching you guys when I got pregnant and found you to be so nice, and such a good source of information presented in a very lovely way. I am really sorry you have to go through this. It's especially difficult to be open and honest when there is pain involvedin infertility. I can imagine it's very hard. Hope all the best for you, that you quickly manage to get a healthy pregnancy! I'll be watching to see your story and advice! ❤

Until you were talking about it, I had completely forgotten the studies about people experiencing infertility after getting Covid. I also think purely on an intellectual level it must be really interesting to actually go through the treatment side of this process as well. I think it will make you relate even more to your patients in the future. We are going through IUI right now so your comments on the two-week wait really resonated with me. I wish you both luck as you keep trying for more babies. Thank you very much for being so open and honest. A lot of people don’t know how hard it is to put your real life on the Internet and I really appreciate this video.

I currently have a 7 week old daughter thanks to IVF. I wish you both lots of love as you embark on this process. I spent a few years undergoing IUIs and lesser procedures, and was lucky that my first frozen embryo transfer with IVF stuck. I felt ALL of the emotions during this process (hope that it would work, resentment that I had to undergo IVF when other women did not, sadness for what might never be, and even some relief that I was at the end of my infertility journey no matter the outcome). Saying that it's a rollercoaster of emotions is an understatement. Thank you so much for your honesty and willingness to share, you will absolutely help other couples!

Yesterday, my IVF baby turned four months old! Last year, I did four (failed) medicated IUIs then a round of IVF and fresh transfer. We also dealt with secondary infertility after getting pregnant on the third month of trying, however my first pregnant ended in a missed miscarriage. Cheering you on from afar! I thank God every day for my fertility clinic, RE, embryologist, etc. and modern medicine in general for giving us our sweet Sophia! Wishing you all the best!
