Gobbed at how rough sounding the individual tracks are, yet the final product is immaculate, timeless

The strat is a 64/65 sunburst strat ex Marr and the amp is an ex Hollies/Cavern fawn covered Vox AC30 Bass combo

The solo was played on the strat. The rest was played on an Epiphone Riviera, the same one which featured in the music video.

4:00 the guitar lick is "All the young dudes". Noel was great at quoting very well known songs, almost sampling bits and pieces with his guitar playing. Same with George Harrison's "My sweet lord" lick on Supersonic.

@jimmyzgames I believe the studio guitar was, according to the chief himself, a stratocaster but fuck if it matters, still sounds class. (I'm tired, if that sounds offensive in any way, it's not intended to.) The answer to your question though: It's a gibson trini lopez. Google image search em; they're kinda neat. Mostly an ES-335 but with different holes in the body and a different headstock. Ballsy sound though.
