Bought one at AMTA National Convention last week. Broke it in today. Had one complaint from a client: the face pillow "makes it hard to stay awake." :D

How is this on masseter muscle area-- I have TMJ. I usually bring my memory foam pillow, but it can be awkward for the therapist, looking for something to take pressure masseters-- the standard massage face cradle foam usually does a job on aggravating my TMJ (right in that cheek area at ground zero) and at times his the wooden frame structures etc. because the foam just flattens right out.

Yeah, the back, neck and shoulders--- high stress areas for me. This Oakwood Bioance really looks comfortable, would this fit standard massage tables? Or, do you need Oakwood tables? I'm thinking about buying one and taking it with me to the massage facility.

+Rachael Scott Do you also use the floating face insert? I'm wondering if it will be overkill with squishiness.

+Liz Schneider Yes, works great and takes the pressure off your jaw area (and helps a lot on the sinus stuffiness) -- I bring it in the to massage place and they put it on. I would gotten this a long time ago even before the TMJ, compared to the standard head rests, it's almost a joke, once you use this, you never want to go back to the standard headrest. Fits standard massage tables too. Highly recommend.

+marlae6 Also, I don't see much squishiness which was your concern, very comfortable, just the right amount pressure and not a lot of movement.

I've only used it for a week now but it's been by far the best purchase I've ever made for massage. Second is the Oakworks pregnancy system. My client bought the entire system for $255 just to get the pillow--there's nothing like it online...no pressure on the shoulder in sidelying.
