@rob how big of a fan are you of the sportsrx darkest gray transitional lenses for outdoor workers. I do pest control and like the full wrap around protection you get with oakleys specifically the gascans. Did I make a great choice?

how do they look with darker lenses? Are there any where the inserts aren't as visible?

I have these. Jawbreaker with the prescription insets. They're great. Work really well for my hang gliding. No issue with the fit of the insert on mine.

How much do they cost?

very nice but what happens when you play indoors? i need a stationary prescription lens with switchable colored lenses. do they sell those? I have a cheap pair from CHYNA but the prescription frame breaks. i need the same thing but with quality and i'm willing to pay for it.

The shield sunglasses like Radars and Jawbreakers are a bit tougher to do and there are not as many lens color choices. But we can make rx embedded lenses for those. Hello! Unfortunately, there are only 5 lens types available for Oakley prescription embedded lenses in the Radar EV Path & Jawbreaker. They are Black Iridium, Grey, Clear, along with polarized Black Iridium and polarized Grey. However, there is news that Oakley may be expanding on their lens options for these frames in the near future. Stay tuned!

Do the Imbedded lenses pass the same impact tests?

To be honest we are not certain. However, it is still made of Plutonite, Oakley's proprietary lens material, which is highly impact resistant. With that said, the embedded shield can definitely handle impacts which is why we recommend them for physical activities.

Hi Kenneth-the Jawbreaker in Rx is only offered in clear, grey, grey polarized, black, and black polarized. This does not give you a ton of options for versatility though. @@sportrxeyewear hi ther I took your advice and went to a vision exspess in uk who work with Oakley I went down and gave them the jawbreaker and also gave them my prediction I wanted I opted for the they had them for 1 week and called me up to say they wear unable to put. my perscription in due to them being witch I thought was strange cose iv seen people on you tube with the same and they had a prescription would it be possible to email you my prescription and get your proffesnal option as I don't feel the option I went to had as much knowledge as you I already have the famines and they wanted to put the prediction in but with prism rd pence witch. isn't suitable for me as I live in. the uk and the weather is not always sunny and I wanted something I could use to protect my eyes and ride wen it gets dark that why I choose the

Unfortunately not due to the semi rimless design of the M2XL. A full frame is required for Rx embedded lenses, meaning the entire lens must be encapsulated by the frame.

Hey Tanuj! Unfortunately the shield implant can only be done with a tint or polarized coating. The photochromatic feature is not available.

Hi Anu! We (SportRx) unfortunately do not ship to India although you should be able to find an Oakley Jawbreaker in your area or online. However, Oakley's prescription lens manufacturing for the Jawbreaker is currently on pause, so i don't believe you would be able to get Rx lenses for them at this time, but this may change in future.

Really want a prizm pair with a different color tone. Can’t justify paying close to 500$ for a pair of black sunglasses.

I, too, would like answers to Calum’s and Koshua’s questions.

Hello! The main benefit of a polarized lens is that it will help to reduce glare. The lenses will also be darker than the VR28 lens in the video. Black iridium lenses also have a mirror finish which also help to reflect more light away from the lens. Thanks for reaching out!

Hey Terence! The lenses are embedded within the shield itself. Imagine cutting two wholes on the frame and inserting 2 lenses inside. The lenses are apart of the shield and it is not an insert.

I've tried Oakley prescription sunglasses before and the curvature tends to give me a headache

I tried on a pair of these and I have to say they look awful. The frames are great. The inserts, not so much! Really disappointing there isn't a better option for full shield glasses.

My daughter ihas myopia, she is playing professional cricket, I am from INDIA, is it possible for me to avail this for my daughter.

Get one with a good mirror finish so you don't get caught staring.

They look like crap. I'll wait pretty sure someone will come up with a full shield lens.

Useless. My eye sight changes every year. I will be paying a fortune in these lenses. If prefer Rudy project ZYON series with RX INSERT. It uses regular lenses and cost really cheap to replace at Walmart.

dd Wayn yeah but if you get your prescription you can get the frames you really want and just pay for the lenses as your vision changes and save money in the long run.

Good question! Cyclists wear sunglasses for many reasons, including, but not limited to better clarity and definition of the road or trail in front of them. Glare reduction. Protection from wind and debris. In addition to combating eyestrain, whether battling bright sunshine or oncoming headlights at night. Just to name a few of the benefits. 🚴
